1993- those are great prices - oh I wish now that I'm a little more fluent. LOL

When I was a kid, most mil-surp rifles, including Trapdoor Springfields were $12.00 to $29.00 - usually stacked in wooden rain barrels in the larger hardware stores.

The right page, top 2 gun's are AK47  in 22lr and under these two is a M1600R, M16 look alike with slidding stock, at $199, I just exchanged it couple of month's ago with a forum member, bought it brand new (at Canadian Tire) mid 90's, so nice memories... Bulpup middle right  26 year's later and look at where we are :( :( I need one more :drinkers: :drinkers: may be two...

I don't know if with the new regulation, it will be a forbiden gun... :?:

to bad because the few times i was in there mostly for airgun stuff

Trust the Globe and Mail to completely distort the facts. "Assault rifles". M1 Garands that were not destined for conflicts in the ME.

I can remember them having Mausers in wood barrels for 19.95. Norinco AK's were 399.00. They used let me in the back room. They had pallets of M1's.
Military Antiques on O'Connor had a big selection of surplus rifles. Ontario Sporting Supplies rounded things out with Ingram M10's and M203 launchers.
