Just got this beauty in the mail yesterday from Wes :D
Initial testing looks very promising after my son and I gave it a quick rundown this evening. After 3 shots to zero in the sights, we were both able to consistently hit the 2" bulls on our bag target from 15-20 yards and after 30 shots there was no noticeable drop in the impact point. I'll post some chrony numbers ant target pics this weekend. So far I'm super happy with this new toy!
Thanks for the quick shipping Wes.

Cheers,
Geoff

Interesting! Looking forward for more updates too~

Glad to see something different and bigger like the darts, bolts and Javelins other than BBs and pellets here~ [emoji38]

I ordered a Ninja tank, remote hose and ASA to 88g adapter from scopesandammo :D Let's see how she does on HPA

Friend of mine got it & extra arrows. Nice airbow. Something different.

Helped him set it up & try it out. Shoots good, but as all CO2 airgun being used outdoors, is dependent on the temperature.

We found that it shot low at 15 yards (about 8 inches), but windage was accurate. He installed a red dot scope & needed to shim the scope to get elevation right. But now shoot accurately. Can get more than 30 good shots on a warm day. When we shot it with the outside temp. of around 14 C, we got around 25 good shots. When we tried again & temp. was around 23 C got more than 30.

Because you are shooting arrows @ around 300 fps, the wind seems to come into play a bit more than shooting BB's or pellets at more than 450.

Certainly falls into the category of "and now for something completely different", for the airgun world. Sort of an inbetween airbow. Not the power of some of the PCP ones out there, but certainly enough power to kill smaller game, with the proper broadhead installed, with an accurately placed shot & within the right range.

If you want don't want to get into the whole PCP set up & want something a bit less expensive, but want to try an airbow, you should be happy with the Javelin. Quality build, the CO2 makes it much simpler to use. You may go thru a lot of the 88/90 gm. CO2, so looks around for it. Prices an vary a lot between retailers.

Also extra arrows are a must.

I did find the same drop as you mentioned at the 15 - 20 yard mark and had to max out the elevation screw on the rear sight to achieve a good aim point. After getting it dialed in though the POI remained the same throughout the 30 shots I tried. Accuracy was very good and consistent even shooting off hand as we did. It'll be interesting to see how it works on HPA with the 13ci Ninja tank with 850psi reg and I also have a Chinese tank with a 1200psi reg I might try as well.

Cheers,
Geoff

Looks like it's probably too tight fit to put an 88gr adapter on a 13ci paintball tank, do you think? That'd be a great option if it'd fit.

Nope, not enough room, It'll have to be a remote line setup but with the M-Lok slots on the sides it shouldn't be too hard to come up with a solution.

Cheers,
Geoff

I think we are missing the point of the Javelin.

It is designed to be a 88/90 gm. CO2 shooter. If you want to shoot with a compressed air set up, maybe the Air Saber is the product you are looking for. Or the Benjamin Airbow.

Well, got all my bits from scopesandammo and got her tethered to the bottle. First let me say that shooting this gun on co2 @ 15C, I was getting speeds of 224fps down to 219fps pretty consistently when cycling 3 arrow strings with about 30-45 seconds between shots. I'm betting the box claim of up to 300fps would be on days where the temp was closer to 30C. With the 850psi reg'd Ninja tank I'm getting very consistent shots of 228 to 234fps with many duplicate speed shots and no waiting between shots :D I'll be working on a way to mount the tank to the stock in the coming weeks and will try the 1200psi reg when I've put a bunch more shots through her. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with this gun and my new air tank setup!

Cheers,
Geoff
