At the very beginning, THANKS to Olderguy can let go this wonderful gun that I love so much ~ (I doubt he just got too many already ~ lol) This is my very first break barrel springer rifle (I have a Hatsan Mod 25, which is a pistol). And for HW30 which is already grained much reputations and good reviews as a great beginner springer, I don't want to repeat those kind words and just want to share some hands on experience after playing with it for a little of time! Break Barrel just so easy to reload and I can see it's super easy to clean the barrel too ~ lol Although many ppl repeated this many times, I have to repeat one more time: the HW30 is just so easy to cock and need almost no effort for me, who never plan to buy a HW97 just due to its weight.... But at the beginning, it really took me some time to figure out how much effort I should use to close the barrel back to position. But it's okay now, it's just slap back gently and smoothly! The feeling of the recoils hitting the shoulder via the soft rubber pad is just so good and you can't have that from the spring powered pistol, like my Hatsan and the HW45 ~ But I need to take a note here, the HW30 is very smooth, and QUIET ( sorry, I shout out its quiet....). Maybe mine is a detuned 495fps 177 model will give out a more smooth feel and as a well serviced used one, I don't need to go through the initial break in period, so my first impression on a springer is very good! It's very accurate. Uhh.... No BS, right? Every one knows that.... I put a Williams peep sight ( which I bought about a month before I got the gun.... ) on it, and used less than 10 shots to initially zeroed the gun and it just started grouping very well already.... However I might need a scope for it as I found it again that my eyes are not very good as before, and not enough lights in my basement range to use the open sights... A trigger set-back looks pretty useful for my short fingers and small hand... Will think about it later.... Oh, I don't touch the trigger adjustment yet, but looks I don't need to do that as the two stage famous trigger just works very well to my liking already ~ And..... I love the stainless steel silver color soooooo much ~ should I thank D&L sold out the HW30? Otherwise I won't get this one ~ Sent from my LG cellphone |

Beautiful. Quality tuned under lever next. Something like a TX200, HW97, or a LGU. |

The gun zeroed at 10m, and just tried some shots as far to about 25m, still not difficult at all to hit the object about an inch size.... I pushed it from about 15m away and took 5 shots, one missed, one on the side ( it flied aside) and 3 should just hit close to the middle ( it flied about straight forward...)... That's a beauty of a rifle that looks great with the fine rear sight. Congrats! RC |

Thanks RC ~ Actually I took down the Williams peep sight and put on my 4x32 Walter scope tonight and tried some other pellets... Interest findings included it works well ( since the first shot after it come to my hand) with the 7.33 RS, and doesn't need much adjustment (10m range, maybe 2 or 3 clicks?! I don't bother to make the adjustment at all...) and shoots JSB 8 gr wadcutter and RWS 8.2gr wadcutters well too, but very interesting, she doesn't like the JSB 7.87 gr Express domed... Not groups well and more than one inch POI changs... I am approaching a deal with someone for a better Anschutz peep sight... Can't wait to see how it works on the HW30~ Sent from my LG cellphone |

hi yep. beautiful gun. I thought when I saw that gun in the for sale section it said you needed a pal to buy. I,ve always wanted one but since I moved to the place I am at now I have no room to shoot one. any way good catch. |

Actually I now find out the HW30 is really popular and post a WTB request may hook up somebody which didn't post a FS ad for their HW30... What I got is just a different HW30 which is factory detuned version... Although I want a .22 at the beginning for a higher muzzle energy but thinking one day I can just replace to the stock spring or a Vortek kit to bring the gun back to full power would be a great option too... I found the detuned HW30 .177 will be a prefect fit for indoor short range target shooting ~ very smooth, very accurate and very quiet! Sent from my LG cellphone |
