Those that know me know I am not a 177 fan, but after watching MANY reviews on Kral guns I chose the NP-500 in .177. WOW! I am impressed, it shot great out of the box. Mounted a Hawk 4-16x44 and in 5 shots it was on target and hitting well. I'll post some numbers when I remember to write them down, I was having too much fun. Only shot out to 34 yards[can't get out to the range yet] most of the time under an inch but the wind here wouldn't letup. I've put over 700 shots through it already getting 9-10 mags out of a 2900 psi fill, it's gauge is in bar so from 200 down to around 110-120 and still lots of air left. The pellets I used were JSB 8.44 and 10.34 both shot real well. I hope to get some different pellets to test. Thanks Raman for such an easy purchase and Walley Bob for going and getting it for me. More to come on it's performance.

I remember that it shot 1080 fps or so on high power almost the same for both pellets. I think I'll go and get some numbers over the chrony. Still windy here, but warm enough to have some fun with the new gun. Will post some more info later.

Good looking gun, Chris. You got a .177 to boot; awesome. I figure if Dennis can load a .177 with the mitts he has, anyone can.

Hope to see you at a match once this Covid s**t is over. Looking forward to some serious, but good natured trash talk.

About what my Puncher Mega shot. 8.6grn was about about that. It seemed like almost 100 FPS per notch on the power adjuster. So I think lowest it shot was high 600s. It shot 14.9 H&R at about 26 FPE if I remember.

I put some more time in today with the NP-500. The only 177 pellets I have to test, not sure of the weight of the Grizzly Pellets. Only 1 shot over 1000 fps so it is really settling down. 10.34's on medium is where I wan t to be for FT. These were 14 shot per, so another 756 shots.

JSB 8.44- High-952 Low-915 Avg. 932.6 High Power 16.3 ft/lbs
High- 842 Low-818 Avg. 831.5 Med. Power 12.96 ft/lbs
High-771 Low-751 Avg. 761.4 Low Power 10.87 ft/lbs

JSB 10.34 High-975 Low-965 Avg. 973.4 High Power 21.76 ft/lbs
High-893 Low-876 Avg.884.6 Med. Power 17.97 ft/lbs
High-820 Low-811 Avg.815.1 Low Power 15.26 ft/lbs

Grizzly High-994 Low-961 Avg.982.3 High Power
Pointed High-908 Low-891 Avg.900.4 Med. Power
High-839 Low-812 Avg.829.2 Low Power

Grizzly High-996 Low-965 Avg.980.1 High Power
Round High-894 Low-853 Avg.879.1 Med. Power
High-817 Low-795 Avg.809.5 Low Power

H&N 8.49 High-1001 Low-975 Avg.987.5 High Power 18.39 ft/lbs
High-902 Low-882 Avg.889.7 Med Power 14.93 ft/lbs
High-830 Low-811 Avg.820.6 Low Power 12.70 ft/lbs

Crosman High-987 Low-949 Avg.966.4 High Power 15.35 ft/lbs
7.4 High-872 Low-847 Avg.859.6 Med. Power 12.14 ft/lbs
High-798 Low-776 Avg.787.2 Low Power 10.18 ft/lbs

Found out that high power setting is just a pig on air and the 3/4 setting gets around the same power but waists way less air. Also found out that the Grizzly pellets are around 8.6gr, so the pointed on high 18.43 ft/lbs, med. 15.89 ft/lbs, low 13.13 and the round nose high 18.34 ft/lbs, med. 15.76 ft/lbs, low 12.50 ft/lbs. Real close for both might try and see how accurate all are but I was doing some shooting out in the field and the JSB 10.34's were hitting great in the wind. I'm waiting on Raman getting in the Jumbo Barrels [6" longer than NP-500 barrel] to see if I might be able to turn the gun down and still get around 18 ft/lbs. Also that would give more power on 3/4 to try out some slugs. More to come. Oh! It now has over 3000 shots through it and the only issue other than it's easy to use up alot of pellets was I had a magazine fail. It seams the catch for the metal rotating pin is just too small a piece of plastic and wears away easily.
