Has anyone had any experience with this shop? They are based out of Oshawa and sell some pretty nice stuff although a little more pricey than other shops. https://www.herooutdoors.com/

I don’t necessarily recommend them. If you check their Facebook page, it’s filled with complaints and angry customers. I’ve ordered once from them and it took over 2 months for me to receive my stuff (scope mounts and a tin of pellets)

I did not check their facebook page but based upon your recommendation I probably won't deal with them.

I ordered once over a month and nothing, tried to cancel the order, numurous phone calls and emails on there site and facebook and nothing! Phoned the bank and reversed the charge. Even left them a review on the BBB. For some reason weeks later and still sent the stuff! Very strange..never was charged for anything.

I would avoid them like a virus!

I looked at their Facebook page. :shock: It's too bad because they have a spring BB pistol I want and cannot seem find anywhere else in Canada.

I've ordered from them a couple of times with no issues. My last order was only partially fulfilled, I'm still waiting for an item.

One note about pellets: Last time I ordered, they basically substituted for all the ones I'd ordered. So I wouldn't necessarily pick them for pellets.

Not a place i would Order from based on my experience. Another retailer passed an order on to them thinking i would get it sooner from them as they are here in Ontario. He is out west and out of stock. But no luck and he had trouble when he tried to cancel order as well. Not for me. I would go there if i had an item i needed. not sure if this is an option for you.

I am in Ottawa and they are in Oshawa so I would expect any order I make through them should not take more than 7 days to arrive here.
However I am reading about people waiting months for stuff or it not arriving at all. Apparently they do not return emails or answer the phone. One person on Facebook posted that they sent them $600 and received an empty box. :shock:

I ordered trying to take advantage of a deal. Did not read the fine print. My fault. Asked for a refund as they were not going to ship anyway. Only communication was telling me the order was placed(but I knew it was never going to be processed because of not meeting the fine print). Had to go to Paypal for a refund.

Me experience has been hit and miss. If they have something in stock you'll get it in a couple of weeks. If not, it could be months. And there is no way to tell what they have on hand and what they are listing as being in stock and then ordering in. I have had in stock items pulled from my order after the fact, in stock items take 3 months to get to me, and in stock items show up the next week. I order a lot of their boneyard stuff and that at least comes soon. Anything else is a crap shoot basically.

Also if you leave things chilling in your car for a while they always send you a discount coupon. Take advantage of that.

If they don't have something on hand they will tell you it is "in the warehouse" and could take up to 20 business days to retrieve the item and ship it. They do not have a warehouse. They order stuff in and then ship it out to you. No, they will not give you a refund. If you do place an order you can expect to get it, but be prepared to wait to get it, possibly a really long time.

I have a friend that used to go there years ago and said the owner was quite the piece of work.

That is was I assumed from reading the angry FB posts. I too think they just advertise product on their site as "in stock" and order it in from a supplier in hopes of getting it if a customer wants it and has already paid for it. This would account for the product I want being well over the cost of it anywhere else since they are paying retail cost, have it shipped to them and then try to pass that cost onto the customer. That's if they actually send you the product.

Anyhow I bought what I wanted from a reputable airgun shop in the USA and the item was paid for and shipped the same day. It will arrive next Thursday. :)

I ordered some stuff from them 2 weeks ago, and its here. I will be ordering from them again.
