Post subject:  New order of PCP CR600W Pcps + Chaser Carbine stocks Coming

Hi Guys! I've got a FedEx shipment of Stormrider tubes, Chaser stocks and grips on their way along with a bunch of parts.
I've also got Altaros regs coming and still have some Lane regulators for the CR600W Pcps. If you are interested in a regulated low cost pcp let me know. These will have the pressure gauge in the end of the tube and no gauge hole in the stock because the regulator will sit where the gauge block would normally be, allowing me to use an unmodified CR600W stock.
I'll have regulated PP800 Rebel pistols and Pistol/Carbine combos available in the Chaser grip and stock.
The Rebel barrel is longer than the Chasers, making it a better choice for either buying the pistol/carbine kit with just the Rebel barrel or as a combo with two barrels, since their will be more efficiency out of the Rebel barrel and less difference in velocity when switching to the long barrel.
The Rebel and the CR600W really shine in 177, getting an amazing amount of shots for such small pressure tubes.
If choosing to buy an unregulated Rebel, or CR600W pcp I recommend choosing 177. You'll get a much bigger shot count with consistency.
Regards,
Wes

Parts came today! Will start putting together some CR600W PCP. I've got them up for sale, regulated or non regulated, 177 or 22.
Cheers,
Wes

These are shooting under 500fps, must be an adult to buy, but a PAL is not needed.
If you are looking for a full power version Raman at CSS has some advertised on the forum here.
Cheers,

Just building one in 177 at the moment, with an LR700W barrel. Got the reg installed, ready to fill and test. I'll post a pic once I get the stock on. =).
This is a Stormrider clone but better, lol.
Should get a pile of shots in 177!

Here's an actual picture of the latest build with Lane regulator, PP800 end cap with pressure gauge, CR600W stock and LR700W barrel. It's missing the safety and rear sight at the moment, I just need to add them. I put it together and it's shooting 859fps with 7.9gr crosman. For interest sake I'll shoot a string at this speed, and post it, and post a string at 495 as well =)
Also some pictures of installing the reg

Gets 60 shots at that velocity, actually 57, last three were in the 840's. Was shooting from 857 to 865, when my chrony would work, lol.
At 800fps I think it would get a pile more and not be so loud, but at 495 I expect it should get 150 or so anyway =).
We'll see! I think I'll move this over to an airgun review and post some different velocity settings and shoot some different pellets to see what pellets it likes best.
Cheers,
Wes

Wes,
Can the Lane or Altaros regulator work for other brand of airgun with that same tube diameter?

Yes they both can, say for the Discovery or Maximus. With the lane you'd replace the gauge block with the regulator and with the altaros you just "drop" it in and start shooting =).
The lane reg would need a spacer the right size to put the reg in the right spot so the gauge hole ends up between the two orings on the regulator.

So with the lane regulator, the gauge is eliminated for the discovery or maximus.

That's true. You lose your gauge with the lane, and the gauge with the altaros just reads the reg pressure.
Not so with this gun I'm building though. You get the gauge on the end of the tube.

Hi Wes, is there any advantage using the the longer barrel than before? Accuracy? Efficiency? Power?

The 177 barrel I got from snowpeak just happened to be longer, wasn't my plan, but it will be more efficient and perhaps could be more accurate, though that will depend more on the quality of the rifling and the crown I'm thinking.
I've taken the front sight back off on this one and it looks great without it imo, with the Checkering on the end. =)

how do you take the front sight off Wes? do you have to heat it up?

Post subject:  Re: New order of PCP CR600W Pcps + Chaser Carbine stocks Com

Oh, these barrels came with the sight removed so they weren't glued on so it was a simple matter to remove. The 22 barrels are glued on I believe so they would need some heating to remove.

I built a PAL rated CR600W PCP yesterday and today, regulated with a lane regulator, for a customer.
Here is the shot string:
CR600W PAL 200bar regulated
Crosman 14.3gr domed

750 741 745 741 738 748 745 741 748 741 741 745 745 745 751 745 754 741 745 745 751 748 741 741 741 745 err 741 745 741 738 748 767 767 764 758 764 754 758 745 735 735 80 bar

I really like these guns! The mags are easy to use, the single shot tray is so handy, the shot count is great for such a small tube and the regulator makes it nice and consistent. The stocks are so nice compared to other guns in the price range and the trigger is adjustable. The breech is a little short but workable with most scopes. All around best budget pcp for the price in my opinion, which is biased of course. =)
I love my QB chief, but if hunting grouse, I'd rather take one of these, especially if it's cold out. No need to fumble with pellets and spare mags are pretty cheap.
Cheers,
