Doing some basement plinking tonight got me thinking, it sure would be nice to have some cheap, readily available targets to shoot....that would blow up! Rockets! Not the kind that fly in the sky, the edible ones we all pretended were pills when we were kids. I glued a bunch to a target sheet I had. Worked great.

Try from a variety of children's cereal like Froot Loops, Count Chocula, Sugar Pops, etc. They can be fastened to paper or cardboard using corn syrup, which gets sticky quickly. When you hit your target you'll know. These cereal pigeons work great. Your kids may find that they are running out of breakfast.

And if you have a dog, he'll clean up any bits that hit the floor too!

I always knew there must be some use for Premium Plus crackers, considering they are as flavourless as a handful of sawdust.

Man I can't imagine the mess this would make in the basement. You could end up with an infestation of moving targets...

That could be a way to convince the Mrs. that you need to spend more time shooting.

The Mrs.: If you're gonna spend all your time shooting airguns, then why don't you see if you can thin out some of these danged rodents! :x

Me: Everything is going according to my Master Plan....

Ya, they'd be worse then rockets! Way to go mom! I love it, a mom that promoted shooting. My mom said the emphatic "NO" to guns!!! Necessity is however is the mother of invention, had the best elastic shooting guns on the block, used a full 8' 1x2 to make em too.

C'mon guys, really????

I can't even see a Tic Tac or a Rocket candy from that distance. I'd need to use one of my variable zoom scopes and even then I doubt I could steady my air rifle enough.

Start with crackers of some size.
