10 meter targets ? I just shoot at the side of the barn. 10 meters is an awful big target.

Um. I have a pellet trap 30" x 12" with a horizontal bar across the middle covered in duct sealer. (I have a duct sealer target back-stop that I sometimes hang in front of the trap, but my favourite thing is to set stuff on the trap's bar, and shoot it off!!) 8)

I've been using cat food tins and tin lids, but recently (following the advice of Charlie Da Tuna - aim small - miss small) I've been sticking bits of 1/8" dowel like match sticks, and tabs off beverage cans on the bar. (The beverage cans are silver, and the tabs are candy apple red which show up very well in the scope. I have a nearly endless supply of them.)

I got some great information from the GTA library (can I say that here?) and as a result my off hand shooting is improving a lot. One GTA post is called "Off hand shooting #1", and the other is "Shooting from a rest" by CDT.

I'll never be a competition shooter, but boy, am I having fun!! :D

Peter

That soda can rivet is a fave of mine. Hit it squarely, and the pull tab will fall away. Soda cans mostly. I've seen that red pull tab on the fortified energy drink cans. (Yes, they do make such a thing  18% by volume if I'm reading the can correctly) At any rate the pull tabs are in easy supply for me as well, and provide hours of entertainment...

Regards,

Doc Sharptail

The heavier card stock target 103T is best for clean holes. The paper targets are less expensive though.
