I love having the chance to shoot at a bit longer distances than possible at out GTAG range nights. This weekend was a perfect chance to do just that.

The rifle and the rest, you gotta love the Beasley approved seat cushion and beach towel rest.

The ammo; I switched to the lighter jsb pellets when I moved the targets back from 35 yards to 45 yrds.

Here's the view downrange.

And the view back from the first set of targets set up at approx 35 yards.

I used this to help dial in the scope, at 30 clicks I ran out of elevation (from the uaual 50 feet indoor range) so used 1.5 mil dots down from the reticle.

Once I got the range these guys were easy pickings.

Then I move some targets back another ten yards to about 45 yrds but the wind picked up so I chose I bigger target, an empty pellet tin.

An excellent day !!!

I have yet to shoot my (all) non pal guns out past about 20 yards. I'm envious of your range and impressed by what a non pal gun can do. I'm heading out this week now thanks to you to see what I can muster from something that distance. Thank you sir!

That's some nice shooting with sub 500 rifle. However you should expect very good accuracy with a +$1000 rifle!

Lovely place! I sit in the adirondack chair on the front porch waiting for squirrels! Rest the discovery on the knee and shoot between the slats.

Beautiful rifle!

Well, it was good while it lasted!!!!!

The cottage in the pics belonged to my buddy Peter who was always very generous with invitations to visit and even letting me use the place when he wasn't. He's a transplant surgeon who holds 2 masters degrees, one in education and one in psychology. He also runs a leadership school for physicians and has written a couple of books.

BUT Ontario being Ontario he couldn't find suitable work as a surgeon and relocated to Seattle to make a life for himself.

The cottage has been sold and the new owners have not yet gotten around to inviting me up to shoot my air Guns . LOL!!!! Just an oversight I'm sure! Haha

You will have to depend on your consultant buddy who has a few acres of grass and cow poop to shoot on... and a nice local range membership!

Sounds good to me Murray! !! I am blessed really, to have both old friends with whom I have deep ties and also to have the opportunity to make newer friends who share the same passion for the shooting sports and a have similar outlook on life. The best of both worlds. I'm a lucky dude indeed.
