I had to forge the swing arm. It was a bit of a lesson in physics.... This was my first try.

Found the bell. I just happened to fit. Seems vintage and has a nice ring.

Got these vintage crosman target from Mr Marvin a while back.... Scrap steel brackets and a $5 fire bell from the flea market. If you look close you can see the tiny spring loaded hammers. Springs came from old click pens. Sounds pretty nice.

File comment: I still have to build the chassis. I have an old BBQ rotisary motor. Hoping it will do the trick.

Just looked at this during lunchtime boredom. Glad I did as it has given me the idea to turn my Remington FT paddle reset target into a ding-ding variant as I find the reset on it is very hard to make work unless the paddle gets hit "just right".

Nice! There was a member a few posts ago that rigged a flag that popped up too. I might try something like that with my next one. Kinda funny but this type of stuff reminds me of going to the carnival with my brother as a kid.... He would blow every penny he had. Lol. Good times.

Well this is what I ended up with. It goes ding, but I don't yet know until I try it if it goes ding loud enough to be heard from the other end of the rifle field.

The little gear in the middle - what is it's purpose? The big gear contacts both outward gears.

it's a lock to keep all shafts from turning

I think he just threw them down and meshed the gears for a picture.
