who needs a $400.00 gun when you can do this with a $50.00 beeman p17. i shot 5 pellets into each target.(round part of the targets are inch and a quarter.)wearing prescription bifocals too. it,s too bad though i only have 20 feet to shoot. pistol rested using the dot setting on a reflex sight. a few flyers. but not to bad for an old fart. near the end i started getting antsy cause i had to pee like crazy and it was nap time. not bragging. just wan,t to show what can be done with an inexpensive gun. click twice for biggies. 5 pellets in each target.

Yeah, the P17 is pretty accurate, however I prefer the $300 HW40 more than the cheapy P17 as you just need to shoot shoot shoot and shoot and never need to care about things like ' what happened...xxXxxxxXXX..'

My own experience is I never opened my HW40 (and the other aged P3) so far except when it just delivered I opened it to make a comparison to the P17... But I learned everything about this model by taking care of my P17 for many times...

Well done Pete. Shooting handguns is a totally different ball game, than shooting rifles.

and I prefer the lp10e more than the economy hw40 but straight to the point, shoot what you got and enjoy the experience.

Good shooting pete. Now go do it without a rest!

[emoji38] a lp10e just too different in this comparison~ bring up the HW40 is because it's identical to the P17 and just the price plus manufacture difference... But they do have a quality difference as a result. Although I didn't see accuracy difference between these two.

And you are right ~ Shoot what you have and enjoy the hobby is the most important thing~

thanks for the compliments guys. and ya I agree it,s about the fun. I had fun shooting these targets. and about which gun you prefer and can afford. I put this post up because I see a lot of new beginner air gunners come on this forum and ask -- what are some good and accurate inexpensive guns. us regular guys know that this gun is one of them.

I think most of the new airgunner will buy replicas first~ [emoji38]

Actually the P17 doesn't have a camera face to me. So in my first impression when seeing it on the wab page.... It's so ugly~ [emoji38]

However I heard too many goods on this gun, I gave it a try when it's in a great promotion (I won't get it for a full price at that time).... And it just opened a door for me to a new world! And it's actually looks very nice when you holding it in your hand~

The impressive accuracy and the friendly design of the P17 made up my mind for the HW40 then even a old generation P3 with box and kit scope from Mr.Marvin...

P-3 vs P17 are pretty much identical only difference is the price...
P-17 = $30 - $60
P-3 = $250 - $300

If I was able to schedule a nap... you can be sure I'd be bragging about it :drinkers:

Nice shooting!

Yep~ found my review regarding the HW40 and P17 about two years ago... It really reminds me about I am just such a rookie in the airgun world... I started this just about 3 years ago... My HW40 is just two years old and my HW45 is just 1.5 years old too....
