As many know, I like to be considerate with the neighbors. I've been tired of shooting in the garage and or basement and I want to shoot further. I had to wait for bad weather to make sure nobody was outside, in order to shoot. Because safety is a huge factor in keeping the peace.

So I have this wooded area about 80M from my house. So I decided to setup a 18M range. Hopefully 20M if I get more trees planted.

So I cleared a lane.. Once I confirm what I'll use for a bench. I'll start putting range markers.

I did not need to, but decided to make one anyways. A little discrete backstop. I'll probably drive some fence T posts in, as the wood over time will rott and timber....Then cover in more brush. Since basically back there is where I dump brush..

I got some targets from PA. Single 3" and Triple Spinner.

I figure building this, would get me out more.

The varying light might really screw up metalic sight shooting, but with scopes, shouldn't be a problem.
This bench uses Canadian Tire folding legs. I think they were about $25.00 for the pair.
Hand slot on the straight side allows easy handling once the legs are folded.

I noticed that while taking pictures. From the firing line, you barely can see it. Most of my guns have scope or RDS.

Hmm.. If lumber wasn't soo much, Id make my table for my saw, and get my old shooting table back.

Always nice to have a good place to shoot. :)

Decided to shoot some drop apples with my CR150.

Sitting on the 5gal pail isn't that bad.

I like what you did for a back stop. I may do the same. My property goes back into a forest, but I like the added safety of the woodpile. I dont want to accidently shoot the wildlife.

Thanks, Was just stuff that I had piled up from fallen trees. Even though it goes back into the forest, and there are no properties behind. There are some Dirt Bikes and ATVs that play around behind. I normally stop shooting till I cannot hear them. But I wanted to be extra safe.

HA dumb wildlife.. I had a Squirrel get pissed at me, It was up 10ft in the tree above me giving me flak.

They do that, and especially irritating when you are making a stalk on a moose. :(

I would have shot it, if it was closer to the house. It was lucky.

I'm actually thinking of grabbing a 55 gal rain barrel, and turning it into a shooting port for the bench. It would be easier to wheel around. Than a stack of tires.
