I built my own trap box for my Crosman phantom 22.
Thanks to some of your inputs a few months back.
I like the metal on metal sound.

Jesus dude! That thing is massive. LOL

Good job. Where are you putting it?

I just picked up the materials to build myself two 5-1/2" deep Duct seal traps that will take my 8-1/2 x 11" DCRA small bore targets. I see Marstar is selling surplus 100 packs so I need to jump on that. Going to put one on the wall of my office and use the other in the shop and outside depending on the weather.

Impressive box! I like the design, with the sliding-in plates.
Thicker plate for larger or faster guns, if needed.
I shot through a mild steel 1/16" plate with a .22 Bam 28C air rifle. didn't realize that and shot through the wall behind it
before finding the 'error'. Just lucky the "errant" pellets missed the "electrical junction box" in the wall. That's when I made
the big 'box' with the 3/16" plate. Even the Condor at 1,130fps didn't do more than a lead smear.(that was loud)

This is BIIGGG
How far are you shooting it from? For sub 500, 40-50yards is quite the limit of it.
I think Half of the size should be enough

I am using it in my basement. 30ft away.
I know the box is big, I did not have access to getting the plates custom cut that I got from a friend who had them as leftover scrap. So I built the box around the plates dimensions.

3mm is not quite 1/8", but should be just fine at sub 500fps.
