Hey, just wanted to know if the 853C would be suitable for shooting FT matches?

Thanks,

CZ

You can bring anything out to shoot in the Hunter division, but you will likely find it is too low powered for the longer shots.
Come check out a match, and there will be plenty of guys there who can show you everything from mild to wild to get you set up.

I'll definitely head out to the next match... from what I read, it's a very nice group of airgunners, so it should be fun!
btw, my other airguns are the .22 cal B26 break barrel, Benjamin Discovery .22 cal, and a modified Crosman 2240 in .22 cal (12 FPE).... my 853C is the only .177 cal I have lol, so that's why I was thinking I should take it to the FT match... But I guess .22 cal would be fine for hunter division...

I would guess there's a near 50/50 split of .177CAL and .22CAL that find their way to the matches... The guild line is 20fpe or less for the most part....
International division is where <12fpe is the rule....
It really is a fun and challenging sport to participate in...

Benjamin Discovery .22 cal,
I would suggest bringing this one. I shot Hunter Division for most of last season with my .22cal S410. No problems at all with .22 until you start getting a lot more serious into the sport.
You're right about the FT guys being a friendly bunch, and on top of that you'll get to know some of the most knowledgeable guys around when it comes to FT and airguns in general.
