I'm sure with a bit of tuning (to bring it down to a reasonable velocity) this could be setup as one sweet 12ftlb piston rifle...

There's a few Canadian airgun dealers that carry this BAM B40 I think - Perhaps Sniper could get you a brand new one.

This used one is still for sale in the US though, and even it's been reduced:

The only trick is to convince the seller to ship it to Canada.

I have convinced sellers to ship airguns directly to me in Canada in the past; it's not difficult at all... just have them ship it USPS (NOT UPS or any other carrier, just have them use the good ole' US Postal Service) insured and with tracking.

Be sure to call the CFC to register the rifle before they ship it- start the registration process online then call the CFC and give them the make/model of the air rifle, the barrel length and the s/n. The CFC will give you a reference code to complete the online registration, then you can print out the registration certificate for the rifle.

Rather than print it, I 'save it as a pdf' then email that pdf to the seller so they can print it and put it in with the rifle.

It really is a piece of cake, the hardest part is convincing the American that it's okay to ship to Canada using USPS. I just make it easy on them by saying "I'll pay the extra shipping cost, please insure it for the value, and if it gets lost/damaged, I'll handle it- so it's really no different for you (the seller) than shipping it to Buffalo, except you have to include this pdf that I'll email you" I have always been successful in convincing the seller to ship to Canada.

I'm all for Canadian retailers, I use them all the time, but when a good deal pops up on the USA, sometimes it's worth the extra hassle!
