Yup, Haru and I will be there. Hoping we're able to grab maybe half an hour at some point to set up a string of 75 yard targets on the logging road to the East of the archery area and finally pit this 75 yard CAF challenge to bed. Sometime before or after the HFT of course. I've strung together 5 targets and have a few spares to tape over them, so enough for 8 or 10 shooters to give it a try.

But even more fun for me will just being able to FINALLY test out my QB78D in the field, after more than 8 month's wait to finally get it tuned up with a Ninja bottle mounted. 120 shots ought to do me for the day, but I'll bring the pump anyway as I'll probably get carried away and shoot way too much. The tiny low-pressure main cylinder was just making it impossible to get consistent velocities. Enough whining. Time to shoot. Had a chance the other day to shoot at 67 metres (73 yards) and got 3 in a row on a 2" x 6" target. Hoping to improve on that. Should be plenty accurate for FT.

Hi Gerard

I think the best way to put up your 70 yard target is after the ft. you should put your target up on the Archery range near the club, there you will have enough space to do what you want.

Biagio; that spot would be nice, except that even up on the little weedy hill after the styrene block it's only about 65 metres. We can't cheat on distance if competing with the Eastern guys. We need 68.5 metres (75 yards) for the CAF challenge. Bren has scoped out a road to the East where the archery guys take longer shots. Not sure if he has official permission for it yet.

Well, Haru and I aren't making it today. He woke up with an incredibly painful neck, having slept in one position for hours, first time he's ever experienced this common problem. Half an hour of heating pads and even a muscle relaxant haven't helped. Heck of a tenth birthday present!

So I gave Mike the 75 yard targets. Hope you guys have a fine day of shooting. I'm stuck at home, as Shiho took a shift at work since we were going to be out all day anyway. Guess I'll get to try the QB78 in July maybe. Only 10 months after I first planning it as a bottle gun... I think it's cursed.

We had a great shoot,you missed an epic day!
Good turnout plus a few faces we had not seen in a while.

It was my first time there and if you werent there then you all missed out.. I was able to group at 75 yards using a non pal rifle... Of course it looked like i was aiming upwards into the sky but i was able to lob the pellets.... I had to aim at the target sheet above mine so it would land at the sheet below...hope to make it again eventually

Wait... what?! Target sheet above mine? Defective? Those targets were meant to be strung horizontally, with a couple of feet between each to leave room for lateral errors. Did someone hang them vertically? Can't see how that would work.

Gerard, too bad you missed this meet. Thank you for your targets.

We stapled your 5 targets onto the boards set at 75yards from the second parking area. We had to add 2 sheets for two more shooters.

We sighted in with 3 shots on the shoot n see then we took turn shooting at each assigned target, bench rested.

I think we all did well consider this was our first attempt after a long day of FT. I am sure the 10 shots group will get tighter in the next meet by some of us.

Here are the 7 targets. PS. Jon did well consider his was a non-pal!

Nice shooting there guys! I'm envious. Turned out Haru was okay for a walk by mid-afternoon so we went to Central Park (never been there before) and walked. Boring. Very. So walked on to Metrotown and watched the sequel to Independence Day. Slightly less boring. We both regretted not getting to shoot.
