We're keeping an eye on the weather forecast but we're hoping to have a match Sunday Oct 16th at Todd's on the runway. 10h00 start for the match, sight in range should be good to go by 09h00.

Despite less than ideal conditions 4 shooters braved the elements and shot a 5-lane 30-target course.

Winds gusting to 35 km/h and the occasional downpour made for an interesting first time FT experience for Lenn. He brought out his sub-500 open sighted shanghai b2 and shot 5 face plates on 3 targets on lane 4. With limited power, for most of the other lanes he shot at the near targets and got 15 hits.

During the match we all struggled with the wind and let's just say that any target that was beyond 40 won't be needing paddle touch ups before the next match.

Sighting in, Eldor was systematically taking the paint off the plinker at 50 yards, 8 out of 10 and counting, pretty impressive. He shot a 18/30 with his AA S400 MPR FT. He also experienced the FT milestone of shooting his first clean lane. Denis is having issues trying to get his scope and gun to agree on where the pellet should be going and ended up with 13/30. Duncan came out and shot a lane before the weather made him DNF. John shot 21/30 with his AR20.

Shooting in the rain was a first for all of us and despite having to retreat to the hangar for a bit while the thunder rolled, fun was had by all.

Thanks so much for organizing the event! In spite of the rain and wind, I had a great time and really look forward to the next one. (I sure hope there will be at least another one before winter puts an end to this.)

It was my first time shooting at that distance and with such wind. Not at all easy!

(What's up with the photo links? Only one photo is showing for me.)
