Pistol FT US style. High power, up to 12 ft/lb. None of them legal here. Many are converted rifles. Some interesting people there, including ld (Larry Durham) who created the ld/SS, the prototype for the USFT. He is shooting a cut down version of the USFT rifle. The Thomas guns can be used as pistols or rifles with the rifle stock attached.

Wayne Burns, with the beard, will be the match director of the US Nationals next year in California.

As a pistol shooter, I wouldn't consider that pistol shooting.

We do have pistol field target (PFT) in Canada. There is usually a match in December and another two in January-March. They are hosted at the Burlington Rifle and Revolver Club.

The pistols all must shoot below 500 fps, regardless of Calibre. Can use .177, .20 and .22. They all look like pistols.

Targets are set from 10 to 25 yards and all hit zones are 1.5" to 2". Not sure if 1" zones will be added out to maybe 16 or 17 yards in the future. I say this because the scope guys have been known to clear the course somewhat regularly.

Three classes are Open sights, Red Dot/aperture and scope up to 12X. It is a lot of fun.
