This was my first year shooting Field Target and I had a great time and met a bunch of great people.
I am really missing the matches and have discovered some online competitions to keep me shooting stuff.
I only have 9 yards available in my basement so you guys that can hit a dime at 50 yards may laugh, but some of the online challenges at a basement friendly 6 yards are a blast.
One is a timed pistol competition - 1 shot at 5 different targets in 10 seconds total starting from a low ready position. Score points for more accurate shots, penalties for misses. I found this one to be insanely fun.
There are a few others for pistol and rifle that I will be joining - with different categories for different types of gun - gave me an excuse to buy the Beeman P17 that I was thinking about so I could participate in the SSP category!

I found the details on their website are a bit sketchy but if you are at all interested PM me and we can talk. I have converted all the targets to print on Letter size paper so if you want to play and avoid this chore, just let me know.

I hope that you are all keeping well. Only 12 more days until the daylight hours start to get longer and before we know it we will be out knocking down steel again.

Hey I agree 100%! Missing it too.

Very fortunate to have a full 55 yards+ available in my back yard to practise. I try to practise standing the most, but would like to increase to at least every other day shooting some standers. I have 10 knock up knock down targets set up out there. I even have them up on rebar, so if it snows, they stay above it, unless it gets over three feet deep.

However, I do miss getting together with the gang, that's for sure.

Tried the speed shooting contest with my Crosman 357. It gave me a reason to shoot the pistol again. The challenge sounds easy shoot big circle 4 time, reload shoot box twice. it takes some practice to get this all done fast. I was able to get a time of 10.63 sec but that's after a time of 23 sec.

Good for you Brad!
I looked at that challenge but I do not have a pistol with multiple magazines.
I guess that I could fake it by putting the pistol down then picking it up again.
Did you try the PIPAS challenge?
I found that one to be a crazy amount of fun.
(My handle on that site is Guns-n-Guitars just look at the bottom of the results).
