So this morning during coffee with my wife, the topic of hobbies and restoring old equipment was being discussed. The usual turnover of chit chat came to the point where I said.. at least it keeps me out of bars.. then I remembered some "man walks into a bar" jokes, so I thought I'd try a few on her...
"A rabbi, a priest and a pastor walk into a bar, and the bartender says "what is this, some kind of a joke?"...
dead silence, she didn't get it... so a few sentences of explanation were necessary... and then I pulled out this one:
Give a man a duck and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to duck, and he'll never run into a bar!
That got her, she actually laughed.
