Anyone know a strong blowback pistol they recommend? Had a umarex px4 storm in the past and that was probably the most powerful one I’ve had.

Any 1911 kicks hard and very old school metal hitting metal crispy kicks~

Then, I love my new Cybergun full metal construction DE too~ still thinks the 1911 kicks slightly harder, but the full length blow back action on the Airsoft model DE I have really gives out better recoil feels~ ImageImageImage

I am by no means an expert but I feel the P320 M17 Sig pellet gun does OK with blowback and the quote.........Each SIG M17 CO2 Pistol is field-strippable and includes a responsive blowback to bring the most realism possible to your plinking sessions.....seems to claim that.

I own the M17 and pellet M17 but have not used either all that much.

Modern pistols design focus on the usable and try to lower the recoils and increase the accuracy plus comfortable user experience.... So, this also reflects on the related replicas to my experience...

That's the reason I love the old school blow back feel from the 1911s more. And based on what I own / owned... The P226 has stronger blow back than the P250 and P320 which are not full metal but metal+polymer structures.

And for those names like UX has manufacture plants all over the world, made in Germany usually has better quality and blow back than from Taiwan or Japan...

Some exceptions... The 1911 mostly made by KWC in Taiwan no matter what style, model or brand names on it...

And my Cybergun Airsoft DE is also made in Taiwan by AW Custom which is the highest quality (also the price tag... ) replica I bought so far. I was so impressed that after playing it around for almost a can of green gas, I didn't see any marks on the slide and in the drop out mag.... Which is so normal and usually happened in the first a few loading on my other replicas... And the trigger on it is nothing on the heavy side and not like my UX pistols that need to run a looong distance before the gun fires...

Like the Glock, I can only say the blow back is okay, but on the 1911s, you will say 'Wow~'... :)

However that's what their deaigns and just their different characters ~

Oh~ the P365, I said 'Wow~' too~ [emoji38] because I never expected and thought this little guy gives so strong feed back to the shooter! ImageImageImage

I bought different replicas at the beginning... Then I found 'inveating' on non blow-back, non full size drop out mag, non full metal constructions (except the real steel not using metal either, like in the modern designs, polymer materials being used a lot in making a gun)...... Is not my style or say not my cup of tea... I collect them, not treating them like a boy's backyard toy which you finish playing, you just throw it at the corner in the backyard... So, why buying those stuffs not replicating say 99% from the real steel?

Of course 99% is joking... At least pot metal on replicas is sure.....

And for the pellet shooting models, guns from UX on the rotary mag will be less exact copy on the real steel. Completely different internal construction and without the full size drop off mag. The belt feeding design from SiG did a good job on this.

And Yes, that DE is discontinued.... It's saying later this year or next year, UX will has a new full metal DE.... I just couldn't wait any more and really looking for that discontinued one for years... So I bought the Airsoft model from Cybergun...

In the market this moment, looks what you could find is only 3 different models of Airsoft DE from 3 different name, Cybergun (full metal), kWC (metal and plastic) and the made in Japan Tokyo Marui (plastic). And you can check out the 2nd tho...

Oh I’ve been interested in the p365 for a while now. How does it feel in the hands? Also I’ve heard from somewhere that you are able to field strip it? But it’s very difficult.

If the police can see a Winchester Model 94 in a Red Ryder, how exact do they have to be, to be considered "close" replicas?

Very comfortable in my middle to small size hand.

Yes, it's field stripable. I heard there are two different production models in the market. The later model fixed some flaws and works better. Mine is the earlier model. I got an issue of slide couldn't reset or something... Planned to return it for service, but fixed by myself at the end...

Maybe just like the Mini car, size is really too small, but you have the same essential parts have to be put into the body... So need to be careful of the tiny parts when you strip it... Image

To me as a collector, a close replica need to be very similar weight, same material, almost same operation (trigger, safe, mag, slide, blow back, sights, markings..........)...

However, for a police officer, and observe from a distance (not need to be too far, at least I don't think I can tell the difference between a Glock to a 1911 from 10 meter away)... All short guns are same, and all long guns are same...

Things like white color markings, orange tip, pentagon mark.... Useless... I can put white color on the marking and paint the tip to orange on my real steel... Just so easy~

Just don't be stupid to show off your replica in public to protect you and your family.... From the justice force....

Esthetically similar as that's what they are specifically made for. Weight, sure, they would be similar. Some higher quality revolver replicas use steel and have a much higher price point. Most (all?) cheaper semi auto replicas use pot metal for the main metal components and cheap plastics. Finish is painted or very cheaply chromed. Casted not milled. In terms of function including take down very similar but very loose. Blowback? Not even close in my experience. A 22lr semi has more kick than my co2 9mm replica which was reviewed as similar to the real thing. I would describe the blowback on the replica as dull, lazy, and weak. It would have to be considering the weaker recoil spring. Maybe there are products that have better representation but I would think that would come at a cost of shots per co2 capsule.
