I really wish other bigger retailers would start doing the same thing, but this is a start I guess.

It looks like OpticsPlanet is donating a portion of each purchase to a charity that supports military vets and their families and their educational futures. This is something that is very close to my heart, so I thought I'd share. If any of you find any companies doing anything similar could you please let me know, I like to keep up to date on who is doing what for our brothers and sisters:

If you're American. Support group like 4 Wheel to heal, Or DV Farm. As a Canadian, I follow those. They're getting them out to things, they enjoy. Not lodges and kumbaya feeling meetings.

Well unfortunately Operation Gift only helps American vets. Doesn't help Canadian. Searching it on the .CA site, yields nothing. There isn't many Canadian groups. And some are scams.

But dealing with rescue dogs groups. There are many hopes and prayer groups. That make it look like they're helping. But they just doing it for the praise and pat on the back. And don't really care.

Hi,

I came across this site last year:

https://vetscanada.org/donate.php

They have a program to provide guitars and lessons for vets. I had a spare electric, that i wasn't using and took it to Long & McQuade, Markham. They made sure that the guitar was properly set-up, added a case and shipped it out to a vet. All free of charge. :)
