I was reading an article last week about a loop hole that was created by the way the law was written, wildlife officers couldn't give tickets to people who get caught hunting with a non registered gun! So there is no carrot but there was no stick either! It would have had to call a cop to give him the ticket.
The law has been changed and an unregistered gun can now be seized if you're caught hunting with a non registered rifle.

I know it has been said many times but I just can't figure out how a registered gun can be safer than a non registered one. I'm all in favor of courses and back ground checks but once that is done, you should be able to buy wathever you want! You want to get a Derringer, get a Derringer! You want a silencer? Why not get 2!?

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

The Government knows that more laws will not make the streets safer. You can only make the illegal use of firearms illegal.

Making it REALLY illegal will not do anything. Taking the guns away from the people, which is the drive of 'some' politicians,

is why registration is necessary. You cannot confiscate an article if you do not know where that article is located. How are

THEY doing at confiscating firearms from known gang members? known criminals in general? That would be harder than attempting

to take guns away from law abiding citizens who might not fight back. THEY know who the gang members in Toronto are, THEY know

where the live or hang out. Raids are not being done, because that will be dangerous. Much easier to make new laws to make it lok

like they are doing something.

Reduction in gun crime is not the purpose of Gun Control Laws. Gun control laws are passed to placate a "dumb-as-a-brick society"

and to get votes for doing so.
