Been doing a bunch of shooting with my Sept. 1936 Model 70 Winchester. For those who are not in the know, Winchester started making
model 70's in April of 1936. After zeroing my 2,745fps 180gr. SST's with the Burris scope, I managed to smack the 200, 300 ,385 and 500 meter steel
plates (14" x 16") at our long range out on the Blackwater road. With a better scope, I'd try the 1000 meter buffalo. I've got one?? But it's 30m and need new mounts.
The picture is over my Sharps. Managed to win the long range shoot at Rendezvous with this rifle. Ranges ran from 20 yards to 735 yards. All shots taken were offhand,
except for one, which I missed. Did manage a score of 16 out of 18 targets. Not bad for a 69 year old cripple. LOL
