From a stationary postion perhaps but when running around and away from the house or any remote area I would disagree.

Expensive but the thing does throw out an impressive volume per shot at a relatively high rof.

I was impressed with the across the yard shots. Seemed reasonably powerful to me.
The idea of semi-auto was nice.

About 10 meters maximum with either single or power shot.
4,2fpe for single shot.
13.2fpe for power shot

I think that those energy readings may be a bit misleading. Yes, that weight of water moving at that speed calculated to that much energy, but it is not equivalent to something solid (like a lump of lead the same weight) going the same speed. By its nature, water separates into droplets and even if it traveled as a continuous "slug" when the leading edge makes contact, it immediately splatters while the remaining mass is still incoming.
I would not want to get hit with a pellet or bb at 4.2 FPE, let alone 13.2, but as the slingshot guy showed in the video when he intentionally shot himself, this water spray is not harmful (unless of course shot in a vulnerable spot like an eye).
I cannot shoot in my yard due to local laws, but it looks like it might be fun to chase the squirrels out of the bird feeders!
