TheGunBlog.ca — Canada’s governing Liberal Party will confiscate more guns from government-licensed firearm owners by “order in council” (OIC), Minister Marco Mendicino said May 01 in comments that many people missed.
OIC Possible This Summer

The Liberals may unleash their new attacks as early as this summer. They’re creating a confiscation committee with an August 31 deadline to say which firearms to prohibit.

You could be targeted if you are among the 2.3 million men and women with a federal firearm Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) and legally own:

Any firearm the Liberals choose to label “Prohibited”
Any rifle or shotgun that is centre-fire, semi-auto, and can take detachable ammo mags
Possibly any handgun

OIC to Prohibit Existing Guns, Bill C-21 to Prohibit Future Guns

The order in council — an arbitrary and authoritarian cabinet decree — will prohibit and eventually confiscate existing guns.

Mendicino announced the expanded crackdown at a briefing on proposed amendments to Bill C-21 that aim to prohibit rifles and shotguns designed in the future.

Unless some miracle happens now, and this doesn't go through, we are screwed.

I don't think these people really care about fighting gun violence or violent crime in general even, it seems to be more of an ideological thing, than a practical thing. They are doing little to combat actual issues such as bail reform, smuggling, and gangs, they have announced a little bit of increased funding, but really just token amounts, still just "guns bad", "civilians shouldn't have guns" ideology at play here.

A disarmed population is a compliant population. Trudeau wants a full blown communist Canada just like his fathers. Check out the new platform they just released on May 7. End gasoline. Shut down major roads to create 15 min cities. Take the vaccine or no public transit, and of course, more gun control. It's the UN/WEF playlist.

On the topic of us being screwed, I think I have another major example of how being too ideological can harm us.

I think the conservative party in the 2015 election were very much the architects of their own destruction. Why? Their opposition to the liberals proposals for a legal cannabis framework.

Let's face it legalizing or at least decriminalizing cannabis has been a popular idea in Canada for a long time, some National polls have even shown up to 73% support, so that would include naturally a lot of conservative voters as well.

The liberals knew they chose a winning issue, and the conservatives played right into their hands with outright opposition to it, even going as far as to make fear-mongering attack ads, claiming that "your kids will be able to buy weed in convenience stores", which as we know is very much not the case, Stephen Harper even said some stupid things like "Marijuana is 50x worse than tobacco", which again, is provably false. This not only went against the will of the majority of Canadians, but it also cemented their image of being "out of touch".

Needless to say, I was not at all surprised when they lost in 2015. The conservatives also screwed us, never forget.
