According to the Home Site, the Canadian distributor for AA is Specialty Shooting Sports. Their website is still under construction and when I spoke with them they didn't have much, if anything, in stock. They would order in a piece for me but I found the price out of line with US dealers. Is there any other source in Canada? Has anyone brought an AA unit up from the States? I'm interested in the 410E-B which has a shrouded barrel. Is customs twitchy about shrouds? Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Why don't you try Straight Shooters? I've talked to Kevin G, and he assured me that he has done plenty of (PAL-RATED) airgun orders to Canada, with no problem what-so-ever.

What is Straight Shooters?
They are not listed as Canadian retailers in Tod Copper's list.
Do they have a web-site?

They are not in Canada so they are not on the Canadian Dealer List.

Hey Treeliner you could give John a call at D&L. I know that he deals with pyramid air and could at least get you a price. It can't hurt to try.

Hey guys, I bought my AA410E from Airguns of Arizona. Robert was great to deal with there. i got my fill adapter, pellets and rifle for what i feel was a much better deal than what i could get in canada. plus they would have to order it wich could take several weeks just to get from their warehouse. it was somewhere in BC but cant remember. D&L??? either way i just faxed a copy of my Pal to AOA and off it went. i received it in 11 days from the day i ordered it. they do a great job of packaging, unfortunatly it seems that customs opened it and just tossed everything back in the box, wich left my stock damaged but no worries i refinished it and it looks beautiful so with how well our dollar is, i would have no hesitation buying from the states.

just my 2 cents

Jgrelik, could you give us some more details?
At which moment did you have to register the gun?
Is the gun held by customs until registered?
What was the shipping cost?

Also, what is your opinion about the gun itself?
Pros and cons?

Hi Jon,

I've been seriously considering going through the states to buy an airgun. From what you say, Airguns of Arizona seem like good folks to deal with. I'd appreciate it if you could answer a few more questions I have.

1) What carrier did AOA ship your airgun with?
2) What was the duty and tax accessed on it? (%duty, %tax)
3) Were there any customs brokerage fees?

It's a darn shame that customs did a bad job of repacking your new rifle. Was there no recourse or liabality for such an action? Does shipping insurance cover this?

Thanks,
~Glen

I assume it never did get registered, which probably won't matter because the long gun registry should be over soon.
