I bought a couple of these last year and they're good copies of the
RWS model 34. The scope isn't great but for $100, it's hard to go
wrong. If you do buy one and want to bring it up to 800fps, I have one of
the Vortek spring kits that I never got around to installing. The one I
did upgrade with the Vortek is surprisingly accurate. It's a substantial adult sized air rifle.

Bought one this week quite impressive for $99. Great rifle to get back into it (scope is cheap but for the $$ ok). Think I caught a bug in the past week purchased a Beretta PX4 Storm (Airgun Source), Crosman 1377 (Replica Airguns) and this Ruger Blackhawk (TSC). Gives me a bit of a variety to get back into shooting after a fifteen year hiatus. :mrgreen: Was a weapons instructor and range safety officer in the CAF really had the bug back then and fired a wide variety of tactical weapons but always in the back of my mind what a weapon was really for. Decided to give airguns a shot :wink: and I find this to be quite relaxing allowing me to focus on something other than day to day stresses. Will be investigating this site further and thanks to the above mentioned online stores for smooth transactions.

The recall is specific to Canadian Tire that sells both the PAL and Non-PAL version. If you bought a BlackHawk from TSC you are not affected.
