Just to point it out- the Explorer is an all plastic barrel block- and not built well- I have seen 3 or 4 of them cracked and unrepairable as a result. Essentially, if this is thought-of as a throw-away gun that might last a few thousand shots, no one will be disappointed. If someone wants a "youth" gun that is steel in the critical places- there are some out there from other manufacturers.

X2 Eric......somebody on here just paid $95 for used one, so not a bad deal for 70 bones.

But, if you notice, it is a 'RE CON'. Not a bad price though.

Still the Crosman Raven has steel where it should, and is $79.99 brand new. I guess if you leave near a TSC it might be ok for a kid to try out/get used to a breakbarrel.

I'm not sure how reconditioned they really are. Mine came with damaged barrel- where you put the pellet into the barrel was chewed up pretty badly (sorry for the lack of technical jargon). Probably was dry fired? Still- princess auto is now selling them for $69 which is definitely reasonable.
