Back in the game of making more fun targets 8)

I am slowly turning back into a scrap yard dog.
Going to let the WCFT boyz do some destructive testing for me later this month.

PS - Anyone know how to remove that PB watermark?

réactive target, make a half turn when 1in center is hit
good for 50 shot before being rewinded

2in reactive target electric reset
inspired by biathlon targets
maked with remote control car starter
and electric door lock actuator (Princess auto)
look bad but work fine

Caronka,

I like your biathlon style target!
Can you share more info about this build of yours? Detailed pics of it?
How dose it trip and how dose it reset?
What is the range of the remote?

P.Auto is one of my fav. places to find surplus parts to tinker with.
Kudos on such a cool design.

thanks for the interest
the pellets push the steel triangle out of the latch to trip the target
I needed to add a limit switch to reset the door switch otherwise it remained active and overheated
the limit switch cut 12V alimentation at the end of the door latch stroke
the remote work until 300 feet

Make this for fun. Take off the animals off the shelf and put my little plastic army men or pop cans ect.

High respect for the design.

Will it also handle .22 RF?

Images descriptions tell most...

Attachment:
File comment: High quality steel, cutoffs from scraper manufacturer recycling bin (Richard). Came flat, shown bent, drilled (for screwing if need be), sanded and dipped in recycled paint

Attachment:
File comment: Plaster cast from a lollypop/chocolate mold for hanging and reactive destruction. Lead disk, cast from a pop can bottom showing a 'welded' center shot of 22 from about 120 feet. White plastic discs from industrial waste - originally core tubes (kraft) end caps from textile industry. Drilled and slid on steel off cuts from industry creating piquet targets shedding pieces shot after shot. Clean area and recycle when done. Great for round bulk target stickers.

And a bit of ground shaking fun times...

Attachment:
File comment: For high stimulation, TR415 tire valve in a pET bottle cap. Bst to use yellow caps or orange when available. Fill with 90-110 psi, place at a safe distance of a minimum 40 feet (they sometimes act as rockets and ARE very unpredictable). With proper eye and ear protection will ensure tons of fun and extremely LOUD. Comparavle to a shotgun blast. Be mindful of where you 'play'...

That's cool, but shooting them on the ground is even more fun. "Shape" changes each shot & contests can be envisioned as we do with muzzleloading rifle shooting.
5 shots - he or she who moves the can the furthest distance, wins. Rim shots are best, of course.
