Okay~ I am filling up the rabbit hole of adding stuffs to my one of a kind low power tuned M3 Compact with this one of a kind Tyrant Design AR grip which ordered 2 months ago via Red Deer Shooting Centre from the States and finally arrived in the other year~ [emoji38]

And it looks like this now... :)

Image

Image

Have a question about the AR grips... I was thinking that should be a standard... But looks only the grip?

This time it comes with an imperial bolt which has finer threads than the one from Swedish FX Airgun which is a standard metric M5 bolt. And I bought a MDT AR grip for the gun previously and it comes with the M5 too...

So in order to install this grip, I had to down size the cup head of the M5 bolt in order it can fit into the new grip.

Anyway, not costing me too much effort for the job and it looks great and feels great in hand too~

Before the grip, I also carbon fiber wrapped the cheek piece.

Image

Then final tuning settled at 18fpe with Hades shooting at 710fps.

Later the no more needed parts I will put on sale hopes the dust collectors in my hand can have a good use in another hand~ :)

You did a nice job on that one, looks super cool. I'm like you addicted to modding and adding bling.
That one is a formidable beast @ 18 fpe!

Thanks guys~

Yeah~ This M3 Compact is really a strong little beast~ It's actually hard to tune it to shoot at just 18fpe, not 28 or 38fpe~ [emoji38] however shooting inside the basement, looks so far 18fpe from a PCP is the maximum I can accept~

So I focused on the other half of fun to add the blings to it... [emoji38]

And the blings for the FX are more costy than Crosman~ [emoji38] [emoji38] So I can't offer anymore now~

Yepyep - what do you have the regulator set at? When I adjusted my Dreamline to 100bar, with the smallest port setting, I got 145 shots on a fill down to 100bar, from 230 or whatever the max. is.
Unfortunately, I did not chronograph the rifle at that setting. It is a .25 cal.

1st Reg at 130bar, 2nd reg at 85bar.

Because the original FX 1st reg issue, I now just pump it to 180bar to 200bar and no more pump it up to 250bar max... Because it's a bit tired and also if the bottle pressure too high, the 1st reg creep up easier and higher...

That looks fantastic.
That grip .. wow!!

That's a compact beast right there.

Nice work with the bolt too!

That thing must be fun as heck to shoot.

I like that Concept One grip (from Tyrant Design).
Since I have it for 3+ years I never shot my Impact handheld, it is a heavy weight BR setup, with a vertical Penguin grip.
My Leshiy2 is a very opposite and very flexible setup, I would order one of this Concept One.
You said in OP it was a longer wait time, I may go order it direct then.

They don't ship to Canada and has 2 distributors in Canada. And the RDSC is who responsed and helped me get it.

It's very good looking and comfortable actually although the hollow metal design might look strange.

It took me about 3 months to get~ :)

I am usually fine with a timing how long my aliexpress orders gets to my hand, but 3 months is overkill. I don't really need it I have two more vertical grips as spares, this your just tickled my interest.

[emoji38] Yeah~ I just waited because I didn't know it takes that long~ And it's not something emergency.... If at last I was told I couldn't get it but a refund I might be mad but now I am feeling good about it.

As I was told this is not what RDSC usually would order and carry so they placed the special order for me and to lower the cost it must been shipped and came with their usual turn-over shipments.... Don't know how often they order from Rainierams and that should be the main reason for my waiting time...

The RDSC has very good customer services tho... We had 16 emails regards this order in the 3 months... [emoji38]

Yepyep - if I can suggest, next time you have to trim a socket screw & you have a bench vise, clamp the screw in the jaws of an electric drill
then with padding, clamp the drill in the vise. Then, use a file on the screw head. That is called a poor man's vice - used this system for many
years, until I ended up with my Dad's lathe after he passed on.

Thanks!! That's a great idea~

Let me put it a try tomorrow and see if my tiny size table vise can hold my drill or not~ :)

I have been actually looking for a rotary tool like this for quite some time but you just inspired me!!
