Another 2240......I have a question...my magazine is rubbing up against the scope ring at the back (right) red arrow, making it a little stiff.the other red arrow on the left is pointing to where another weaver rail slot is but my ring won't fit in there to tight. If it would fit my problem would be solved.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

from the pic it looks like you have room to bring it back a tad....

The scope is far back on the rings as it will go,the only thing I could see is if I could get someone to take a bit off the front of the ring, then touch it up.Not sure if I could sand that much off,do it myself.

Not sure if it's just my breech but that last weaver slot is a little skinny because the block is the other side of it.

If it's only making the magazine a bit tight to turn I'd pull off the scope mount and sand it perhaps 0.5mm with sandpaper on a granite plate, touch the edges with a file to get the new sharp edges off, then clean it, heat it a bit, then and spray a couple of light coats of epoxy appliance paint (Rustoleum works well), then bake it at about 350F for half an hour. Makes for a durable black finish. If using a different Weaver slot would work but the slot is too tight, just use a file to open it up a little. Paint if you like. Even model paint (Tester's?) or marine enamel would work for such a small area. Not sure I'm seeing much down there though as the pictures are kind of dark, so just guessing as to what the options are.

Change the scope rings to slimmer ones if you have extra bucks.

Yeah...getting some new rings might be an idea.I wish I could seen them in person before I buy...but that's internet shopping lol

Anyways I have a pair of high mount rings, there the same as in the pic but higher, maybe I could make a trade or something.

i originally had the rings them in that tight weaver slot, but later I noticed it wasn't sitting right!I was wondering why the scope wouldn't adjust any higher and it was still shooting low..

it's that little bar under the ring that's won't fit in the slot....

Thanks for the responses!!

That is understandable because those rings came with the scope.. Yes they are too wide and besides them Pica/Weaver don't just slide like dovetail types. I personally use BKL and Burris rings because I have observed that lesser rings usually have alignment issues.

I missed you saying about a file....
That's a excellent idea!Plus even if it's marked after painting, the rings will be covering it!
