Gentlemen,

I had the pleasure of taking my Dad, who was in for a visit, to a private shoot to both test fire & zero in a modern day air rifle. so what better candidate to impress an ex game hunter then an Airforce Texan. Test ammunition of the day is a 350gr. Hollow-point sized to .457 and shooting at 50 yards.
A special thanks to Rob for filling my great white and providing a test sight for the texans.

First up is a video clip of David Shooting
a 2 Liter gingerale bottle full of water with a 350 gr. Hollowpoint.
Followed by a few pic's of the Texan with parts that I had around the house.
I must say I'm very impressed with the performance of this air rifle.

I have special plans for this rifle and the Lead pill ain't bad either. Closing down 2" groups while taming the thunder. Some trigger time & filling after every 2 shots groups almost touching. Either way all targets went down (or up  ) that day and Dad was very impressed and had a lot of fun. He even kept his best target.

Enjoy & thanks for viewing.

That's a shoot for the memories book for sure Dan, easy to understand the grin on one's face each time the trigger is pulled and to see the devastation caused by the impacted of one of these slug's shot from these kickass gun's.
It was good to see your dad having such a good time, can't wait for the next time :D

Very true Rob,that was a good one.
Sure is a lot more fun shooting reactive targets.
Or just listening to the ring of downrange steel.

Hey Handyguy, I was getting the same message earlier but I checked on
the laptop, iPad & iPhone and they seem to be working on all now.

Try emptying your browser cache and then viewing the page. I had the same problem.

Yeah Rob that's was a nice jig you had setup there with the pressurized water bottles. watching them launch over the trees was quite an experience. Reactive indeed: Aim, shoot, launch water bottle rocket, react with shameless laughter. A magnum air plinking experience for sure.

As for the BlackWorks Airforce kits for the Condor & Texan. I like Ted, he's smart, he listens to the opinions of others, and he has a passion for his work. The kits not only changes the look of The AF platforms, but also improve the balance, rigidity and handling ergonomics as well.
The butt stock is secured in a unique way, and very Barrett. The monopod is the best option for the AF guns with a large shooting bag in the front. It has a ball bearing and seat holes for elevation as well as a fine adjustment threaded base. I shoot my Texan with my off trigger hand back holding the butt stock secure against my shoulder and this stock offers a secure handle that is large enough to repeat hold and establish a consistent grip. AF buttplate is just that, a flat plate, hold is alittle different every time because of lack of feel or feedback. The added material allows you to push the stock into yornshoulder to better mitigate the recoil.
The Texan is hold sensitive and kicks like a mule so if you wanted to add 2 things to the rifle to make it more accurate I would suggest a better butt stock & a muzzle brake to keep your front end on target. Lower Trigger frame would be up next for overall solidarity & rigidity.
These are precision CNC part. Milspec tight, and an eye for style.
Of course none of this matters without a good bullet so if your considering a Texan you have the option to contact me for a 350gr. Hollow point.
AF Power & Efficency Tuning....Kim & Walter...Hands down.

Hello Frozen Vapors,
The Texan will shoot 14-16 shots with a roundball or a collar button
And 2-6 accurate power shots on the 350-480gr. Bullets.
You can experiment to find the most accurate projectile for the Texan
For what you want. Then you can tune the bullet tuner/power wheel to get
more Shots. A Chrony would be handy for this.

Daryl, I'm so sorry I mean to report but the carnage, the explosions.
I just took a pic of A 4 shoot group at 50 yards with the Hollowpoints.
I was still finding zero but you can see the groups.
Dare I say magic bullet?
And a 350 gr. Deer devastator too...
