+1 x100 on the tung oil. If you keep going you will need a pair of Oakley's just to look at it and get a super hard shell coating to boot........however they look absolutely gorgeous just the way they are too!!!. |

Nice rifles with great looking wood. AA's stocks are a cut above the others. |

thanks everyone. i've been eyeing these since i sold my 97kits. Both are new tx arrived a week ago and prosport yesterday. AGS is awesome to deal with, they swapped stocks for me on the TX for a 12fpe version in walnut and i picked up their last prosport in inventory. anyone know how to remove the wax from the PP? might give it tung treatment. |

Rodney- don't get into a hurry with Tung oil. Let each coat DRY/HARDEN for at least a day - better two days (more if you can do it) before applying the next THIN coat. Even then, it may have a "GREEN(soft) feel to it, if you know what I mean. TUNG oil is a very good finish. |

TUNG oil is a very good finish. i'm giving it another day to dry more i can smell the oil. planning on going slow on this. will also use those tips you emailed me on the prosport finishing. |
