I was told that I was lucky to have got the first request in, my apologies if I denied you the opportunity :?

It's everything I expected, covered imperfections, proof it was crafted by the honest, simple, hard-working indigenous peoples of... wherever. The valve flutters like a middle aged woman skydiving in the nude but I love it, especially the fact that you need to load a shell into it and that with the right sabot you can fire pretty much anything that fits in the barrel.

They are pretty cool pictures. Single round balls may be more accurate, if you make wads to fit the brass shell, then put in a wad, push in a ball that 'just' fits inside the brass 'shell', then another 'card' wad.

Not pleasant but a stunningly accurate analogy.

One of the first airguns I have absolutely no inclination to modify

Cheers, new camera! You might have noticed the high speed footage is a bit sharper.

I haven't tried it with unitary projectiles yet but it certainly has enough power to make it worth using as a shotgun.

On another note, I called it a "Model 470" because that's what's stamped on the action but a google search for "Farco Model 470" only turns up this auction in the US featuring what I presume the exact example I now own. Can anyone shed more light on this?

I want one! Makes me wanna convert some existing gun to work, like maybe a QB79.

It shouldn't be too difficult to fit a larger diameter smooth bore barrel, but I suspect you would need a significant valve upgrade for decent power. I'm curious to see what my latest acquisition will generate in terms of muzzle energy with a 50 cal barrel coupled with a valve made for a 0.22"

Thank you for the depiction but acoustically the "FLBRTTFLBBRTT!!!" that this beast generates is definitely more akin to feminine reverberations :?

Buncha comedians in here. Haven't had a good bulletin board laugh in a while...
Keep up the slightly politically incorrect good work.

Thanks for the pix. Was beginning to think they were another gun digest myth, like the old H&R 5200 sporter....
