So happy I got it from post office so quick this afternoon after submitted my order to the maker just about 2 weeks~

Fits prefectly on the pistol and in my hands as well!

And it's not just looks good but also help in improving my shooting postures although I just tested one shot after took some pictures thr result is positive ~

It's freshly made and wrapped in bubble film then mailed out, so there's a little smell and I will wait a while to put it back on and really shoot some targets later~

I need another 45 to take pictures side by side~ 8-)

Before was a pair of 1911 replacement grips from Russia. And looks I don't have pictures about the original grips as the Russian grips arrived almost the same time with the gun. So I changed it immediately... ImageImage

Hey! YepYep those are nice. Congrats!
You said:

Might I guess you got them 'mailed' from the UK ?

The design is familiar and that quick turn-around time also is the same service I got from: Allen Reid.
He's the 'maker' of the walnut grips I had made for my Webley Hurricane in November. The cost with shipping from the UK Royal Mail was very reasonable.
I don't want to highjack your Post with picture of the grips I had made,,,but if you're curious to see them I could send with a PM. Don't mind sharing if interested.
ATB,
Hawk-i

[emoji38] Yeah ~ a nice deal from the UK. But should be another maker who named Andrew Davies. He makes grips for the Webly too. I found him by seeing someone's 45 in the UK airgun forum.

Of course I like to see your nice gun with nice grips too~ if you don't mind share it with the public you can just post here... I don't mind the 'hijacking' at all~ [emoji38]

However I think they should deserve their own post in the gallery section~

Well YepYep! You're absolutely correct. It was indeed Mr Andrew (Andy) Davies that was the maker of my grips too.

I mistakenly mentioned the name of the chap on the UK Forum (Allen Reid) that had pointed me to Mr Davies for the grips. Sorry for my confusion.

Yes, I suppose I could post my Webley Hurricane with the fine hand made walnut grip panels as a separate Post.
So be it.

Cheers!

Hawk-i

[emoji38] can't wait too see~

And finds the UK guys do make these nice wood pieces... I have been watching the customized rifle stocks from the UK CS for a long time and been thinking to get one too... However that's too expensive ( although it's actually a very fair price vs the pistol grips as it's such a big piece of wood~ [emoji38])... Need to wait until I get rich~

Hi YepYep,
Just posted on the Gallery my Webley Hurricane dressed up with Andrew Davies walnut grips from the UK.
Notice same 'stippling' pattern. I removed the clear urethane finish the grips came with. I did some extra fine sanding and applied several coats of hand-rubbed Tung Oil as my preference. For the price these are of excellent quality.

[emoji38] [emoji38] it's exactly being treated the same here~ I have no experience and should just order an unfinished piece which have less smell and anyway we are OCD and will make it more than prefect ~

It's just after its second coat of tung oil and finished steel wool treatment then I am going for the 3rd coat and it should be done then...
