This is my modest collection I got my first pellet rifle at 45 It’s a cheap Asian knockoff from Princess Auto Attachment: Then I ran out and got these two from TSC Stores when they were on sale Attachment: Next I got the Crosman Vantage. But I must have got it before it became NP because it does not have NP anywhere on it Attachment:

Then I got the Ruger AirHawk from TropicalMonkey It came with no forward sight so I made a faux suppressor and put on a reddot sight Attachment: Then I got the Crosman 2200 from Ace This one is a lot of fun Attachment: Lastly, I hope it’s ok that I include this one, I got a Savage 64 .22 rimfire from my wife’s uncle after he passed away. The scope on it is what I refer to as my telescope. LOL! Attachment:

Beauties! I never met a rifle I didn't like, and those look like I'd likely like them |

Looks good. That 2200 by crosman looks a lot like my very old pumpmaster (now long gone, had it when I was 10). Looks like you need a pistol now! |

Sorry, but I must disagree. I have a Chinese break barrel with wood stock that I got from Princess Auto for less than $25, a number of years ago. Still one of my most accurate airguns. And I just use the open sights. Never considered installing a scope. Easy to cock (vs. some of the .22's I have), simple to use. For the price, and considering you get real wood, it's a great gun. I mean really, for less than the price of a half dozen tins of pellets, you get a decent entry level shooter. If it breaks, throw it out (or save the stock & parts) and buy another one. What were you expecting for the price? Regarding no safety, yes it has a safety, your finger is your safety! Keep your finger off the trigger until you plan to shoot, as explained in the following clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb5quj6ZhJM I would still highly recommend it as an entry level break barrel for the casual shooter, or since it is easy to cock, for younger shooters (with the proper supervision). Also, Princess Auto has one of the most liberal return/exchange policies around. If you do end up with a lemon, like D_Rood seems to have, they will exchange it or refund your money. |

OK perhaps I was being a bit dramatic. It was fun to shoot right out of the box and surprisingly accurate with Iron Sights I still remember Christmas morning, we opened the back door and my dad said "shoot that little clay pot across the yard" it was about 2 -3 inches wide, and maybe 15 yrds away and it exploded on the first shot. and yes it was definitely the right price to get me hooked and yes it has not broken yet |

D_Rood wrote: Did i mention it has no safety So, I barely use any mechanical safeties, they can fail. The 2 safeties I rely on are. My booger hook, and the one between my ears. |

D_Rood, I have had the same experiences with my Princess Auto break barrel. Very accurate, right out of the box. No adjustment needed. Even with all the airguns I have, still take it out once in a while to shoot. I find it works best with the Grizzly flat head pellets they sell at PA. It seems to work better with a heavier pellet. BTW, Princess Auto is starting to carry more airguns, and not just surplus buys. I see they are occasionally carrying some newer released models. |

Yes it is cheaply built, and some have rough edges, and a few can be lemons, but all in all, probably the best, lowest priced, entry level break barrel, you will find in both Canada & the USA. And backed by Princess Auto's satisfaction guarantee, and large network of stores, how can you go wrong. Now could someone please explain to me how Princess Auto can consistently sell it in the $25-$45 range? Most other retailers (i.e. both brick & mortar & online) charge more than that just for a wood stock. |

Turns out the Chinese model is very good with a tin of super points that I got on Kijiji. They are a very tight fit in my other models but the shoot super accurate and with no power loss |
