Beauty. Is the mcx no longer PAL rated? I know it never came close to the initially advertised 700+FPS. but seems to me it was close to 600. Wonder what the US model does.
That's what I am wondering too... I actually hope it can do what it says on the box (5.7J, 700fps etc) and not want a fake smooth bore tube put on as a barrel extender to 'detuned' to a Canadian version... Don't want a 300ish replica again...

Ooooooo, don't do that. Do you have a 12g converter for it?

Yup, bought it when I first got the Beretta.....

Well~ following up report is here...

Loaded co2 and pellets, setup the FX Chrony and the targets. Fun time begins~

Shot 4 mags, something just as expected : lovely fun plinking gun indeed! Pretty accurate! Way better than I expected. Not good as a target rifle tho, it's way better than any BB guns which I don't dare to shoot at the same distance ~

Something not as I expected : the original nice cold full metal 'adjustable' peep sight is useless as there's only windage adjustment and the rifle shoots almost 5 inches lower than I aimed at 6 meters. Luckily to have a working order picatinny rail red dot in the house which just fit on the rifle perfectly...

With the fuzzy bright dot with shadow on the sight picture in my eye, I just able to shoot every spot I aimed at the pop can and tearing it down effortlessly~ I will try to fit a scope on it which I think I can tighten up the group for at least 50%... It's too difficult to use the dot sight to aim paper target with my worn out eyes...

And something really greatly disappointed me is its power... I expected it would be a famous detuned 'Canadian Version'... But it just went to far far away to shoot 7g lead pellet at just 350ish.... Sent an email to where I bought it and see if there's a way to re-tune it back a little to make it works like it looks...

New picture with the dot sight on it and a size comparison with the Pro Sport stock that I am working on currently... ImageImage

Mmmmmmmm, Pro Sport, YepYep can you do a thread on what you have done to the stock, it's looking very sumptuous.

It's a long story and not finished yet....
In general, I made some changes to the AA 'bare wood' finish and learned a lot in the process~ a whole new experience than my older project on the HW30 and FWB300SU...

If I remember correctly, my MCX shoots around the low 300s. I don't even shoot it anymore because, the performance is disappointing.

Really that low?! Mine do the same...

No one knows how they detuned it for Canadian market?
The US version shoots around 600fps...

I’m fairly certain that the fix to get it up to speed would be simple. There are only a few ways to do it cost effectively. Hammer spring, port restriction , valve stem shortened to name a few.

However it's not a 2240... Just worrying about can't put it back together after stripping it...

I can see some white smoke from the muzzle when firing, however a lot less than what I see from watching the review YouTube from Pyramid ... Looks each time you press the trigger, less co2 was released?!

I fired about 180 shots today (5x30 mags plus some dry fires, empty shots, testing shots), and didn't empty the 90g ci2 yet... Thinking if detuned by limits co2 on each shot, shot counts would be greatly increased?!

Alright ~ e-Pocket from Aliexpress is a real good thing and don't hesitate to choose this shipped method if you can!

Got the first add on stuff this morning and replaced the factory forearm handle with it, feels better~

And also replaced the red dot with the spare Beeman pistol scope too. Looks having a good sight picture through it, much better than the dot sight, and will zero it then check the groups again later, maybe in the weekend again~ (what an odd look! but functions well with the eye relief distance~ thanks so much for the LONG rail on top of the rifle... Got this idea in the dream the night before.... [emoji38] )ImageImage

Your Iron Sites are elevation adjustable, the front to be exact.
Easiest done with a Sight tool

Really?! And how? Please, more details~

Although I love scopes for my bad eyes, I actually want to use the iron sight on such short distance...
