Made a new brake for my chaser. Can’t wait for it to warm up a bit more so I can throw some lead

Yes absolutely. Muzzle brake does not do anything to affect the sound the gun makes. Its main purpose is to look cool and awesome, second purpose is to change the barrel harmonics to (hopefully) improve the precision, third purpose is to change the balance point of the gun to make it more comfortable for the shooter and provide better control of the muzzle during the shot cycle. On a break barrel gun, it also provides a bigger place to grab and cock the gun which is really nice. And for me the number one benefit (besides looking cool) is to protect the muzzle crown so it can't be damaged. In Canada anything that is a silencer (or any synonym, like suppressor, moderator, etc) is illegal if it can or is intended to make the gun shoot quieter. HIH.
Legal in Canada: Muzzle brake, air stripper, "fake suppressor", some shroud as long is it deesn't silence.
Illegal: Silencer, LDC, moderator, "shroud" if it is designed with baffles or other components to silence the shot.
