Canadian Tire is always overpriced.
Even the stores can't get the pricing right.
Ask for the area manager and challenge the price.
It never hurts to ask.

Their website asks for area codes so youre always looking at the prices that reflect whats in your area, you're going to have to enter a toronto area code to see the lower price. :?

I was told that Canadian Tire doesn't do price match with other Canadian Tires. I was very confused. Apparently each store is independently owned and they can do individual Clearance sales on items they are over stocked on.

This could also just be the policy of one bitter customer service person that didn't want to help me out.

Yes and no. Every Canadian Tire store must follow advertised flyer prices and "regular" prices (within a given region- but who'n the heck knows where the regional boundaries are/aren't). But, "Store Clearance" items (that are identified as such) can be pretty much any price that particular store wants- usually there's no advertisement of this- it's more like a "bargain table" sort of thing
