Yep it annoys me too, but no need to bring it into this thread.

Fricken hell boys your like sheep on here....one dude slags me off, and another jumps on the band wagon....what the frick is up with "Weapon"...are you all teachers or something?

Believe me they are all weapons.
All guns regardless are considered weapons over here.
An air pistol, or even air soft can blind.
There have been cases of skull penetration with air weapons (A BSA Supersport i believe)
....but if this dont sit well with you....just let it be a typo.
I dont have to call em weapons if you dont want.

Its possible that us English country boys (Cornishman from the Cornwall coast) are a bit harsher and and more abrasive than some of you boys are used to.
I apologise for this....maybe you can make allowances for a jerk (from your point of view) from the otherside of the pond?

Maybe take a vote.
I can take a hint, and will piss off if you want!

I also tune this weapon (you have too since all the leather washer heads are gone for ever, or dried out)

It will never...ever do 495fps.

maybe this is just me?
but it bothers the hell out of me when someone refers to an airgun or even a firearm for that matter as a "weapon" in anything other than law enforcement and military applications

Its just you

well

I didn't really want to make a fight out of it, and still don't
just
they shouldn't be referred to as weapons because they SHOULDN'T be used in a offensive or defensive way

not saying that they aren't
but they shouldn't

anyways, I'm done with this

I have to agree with losetherox on this one...Websters says:

Main Entry: 1weap·on
Pronunciation: 'we-p&n
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English wepen, from Old English w[AE]pen; akin to Old High German wAffan weapon, Old Norse vApn
1 : something (as a club, knife, or gun) used to injure, defeat, or destroy
2 : a means of contending against another

The word "weapon" has such a negative connotation and misused if the gun is only used for target shooting...my Sheridan Blue Streak though...THAT is a WEAPON

Baaaa!!!

Mike, everything is expensive in England.
