Port Colborne Field Target Club Schedule For 2009

A special spring match may be announced for March or April.

1)----Saturday, May 16th, 2009-------60 shot match

2)----Saturday, June 20th, 2009-------60 shot match

3)----Saturday, August 16th, 2009-----60 shot match
---------------------------OR-----------------------------
------August 15th & 16th, 2009--Possible two day 100 shot match

4)----Saturday, September 12th, 2009--60 shot match

5)----Saturday, October 3rd, 2009------60 shot match

6)----Sat., November 7, 2009--Second Annual Elmer Fudd Hunter Match

For the regular 60 shot matches, the following agenda will be followed unless unforeseen circumstances cause us to alter it on match day.

8:00 AM Gates will be open and sight-in range will be set up as quickly as possible and sighting in will start.

8:30 – 10:00 AM Those responsible for lanes will be setting out the course and may require a short cease fire on the sight in range to set up a couple lanes.

10:45 AM Sight in range closes and shooter’s meeting will be held

11:00 AM Match will start

Unless there are special circumstances, there will be a short break after five lanes or thirty shots for a drink, a bite to eat and to fill the pcp guns. A fifteen minute break should be adequate. After the break, the remaining five lanes will be shot and the match should be done by approximately 3:00 PM. Once everyone is finished, scores will be tallied and awards presented. The classes and number of awards will be determined on Wednesday morning before the match by the number of shooters that confirm they will attend. Once awards are presented, we will be pulling up the targets and would appreciate any help you can offer. Hope to see you there.

Tim MacSweyn, Dennis Eden and Chris Nicholson

We would love to have you come and shoot with us. You will shoot for free as well. If you do not have a gun over here, we will get you one for sure.

Hi Sniper

We had the first one this Fall on November 1st. It was an all hunter match with adult and junior divisions. This year we made the minimum killzone size 1" and the max was 1.75". We had an offhand lane with four shots and a kneeling lane with four shots. The match was 68 shots all together.

We had a blast, as the weather cooperated and we had chili and hot drinks at the break and at the end. Of the 18 shooters, 10 went home with awards, including all the juniors. It was a fun and relaxing day. We will try to repeat it every year on the first Saturday in November.

Hi Tim,

It would be great to borrow a gun, don't think it would be that easy to bring mine over. I really wouldn't mind paying, I know the clubs need to make some money... that, or I could supply a load of doughnuts :D

I really need a break next year, so I will really try and get there

That stinks when work gets in the way of having fun. :(
We may have one in early spring, but I will keep everyone posted.

Put this in Google maps and it will show you to the driveway. Hit satellite and you can see the grounds and pond.

3757 2nd concession, Port Colborne, Ontario

Any air pistol sub 500fps, presently 2 divisions, iron sights including red dots at 1x, and scopes. So far good quality red dots seem to come out on top.
