Hi

Found this gun for sale - can this be used for FT with the round .30 cal ball ammo?

Also Have a Diana 45 can this be also used for FT ?

Based on my experience with my .30 cal QB I would say no,,,, to much energy,,, it would pound the hell out of the targets.

The maximum energy allowed during a FT match is 20 foot pounds of energy. To calculate energy you take pellet weight x velocity x velocity / 450240 = foot pounds of energy. (WxVxV/450240=FPE)

I'm not sure how much 30 cal. ball ammo weighs, but I'm sure you will be way over the allowable limit for use in a match. You can plink with it on the site in range before and after the match, but not use it for the actual match.

Remember that some kill zone sizes are only .25 inch, so that call just won't fit!
