At the last fun shoot the QBxx had a pellet fall behind the bolt probe and was in need of service ....LOL
Before that happened, I had begun to notice a bit of a change and accuracy was not what I have become accustomed to from this shooter, so needless to say, service was overdue... Having the gun apart to access the the area where the pellet had fallen into, I took advantage and replaced worn and dried out seals as well as give the barrel a much needed cleaning....It was dirty, but what can one expect after 5000+ pellets had made their way through it.... Transfer port seal was also replaced... The gun picked up 61fps average after the tear down and rebuild....
Here's a pic of 3 shot groups at 13yards using JSB's 4.53 8.4grn pellets and a QBxx with a Leaper's 8-32X56 scope set at 16X...
Shot off a shooting bag using Mil-dots and at that range I was using 1.4 Mil-dots below the Zero, so it was a good training session....
Way easier to shoot with exact markings on the scope then guesstimating distances between Mils ...
Now to test this puppy out a little further, looks like Sunday's
Practice Day at Burlington RRC will provide the distance....
DFG's custom choke and main tube keeps this gun out of storage and in action....
Armed with information provided by the experienced and helpful folks from the FT community, my capabilities as a shooter striving to squeeze more accuracy at varying ranges are slowly, but surely developing... Thanks!First shot was for the bulls on paper and the following shots chased the POI from the first...
60 shots total....
