Port Colborne FT Club is considering hosting a Pistol FT match on August 29th. If you would like to participate in this match and are able to make it on Saturday the 29th of August, please let me know.

I will be emailing this to all on the Canadian FT Shooter's list, so you can let me know by email or by PM here on the forum.

If you know you will be shooting in the Open or unmagnified sight division or the scoped sight division, please include that information.

Pistol FT Guidelines are on the FG Forum and CAF.

Based on interest, we will announce on or before this coming weekend if there will be a match held on the 29th.

Thanks.

Tim, Chris and Dennis

I think pretty much any pistol can be used for this match, CO2, SSP, spring.. and this is one of those rare cases where .22 and .177 are equal too. I'll be away, but if I were able to shoot, I'd leave my 10m match pistol at home and bring my P17 or Webley Nemesis.

I am going to be there for certain, U-know, (-hell or high water!)
The First Canadian F.T.Pistol match EVER is hard to pass up on as an event. I think it will be a somewhat challenging, & totally enjoyable day for all who can come out with an air-pistol & take a crack at some fun Field Targets. I'll be the nimrod with the ol'school 1377 pumper, gettin' a workout & raisin' the heart-rate for each shot, which begs the question - Any idea how many targets for the match yet, guys :?: 8)

"Any idea how many targets for the match yet, guys"

So far we are looking at 10 lanes with two targets per lane for a 40 shot match. We need special targets like Don's for this match and I am fairly confident that we can get a total of 20 targets that will fall with very low power and yet stay up if hit on the face with approximately 12 ft/lbs.

We only have seven people interested so far which is marginal at best.

The Port Colborne FT Club has decided to go ahead with the pistol FT match on Saturday, August 29^th . The cost of the match will be $15 to cover the cost of awards and a donation to the PC&DCC for the use of the facility.

The two classes are for: 1) Open or unmagnified sights. 2) Scoped up to 4X. The rules are on the Dr. Frankengun Forum and the CAF with CAF link below.

viewtopic.php?f=28&t=26495

We will set up ten lanes with two targets per lane and shoot at least a 40 shot match. A match with more shots is a possibility we will discuss at the shooters meeting.

If anyone else intends to participate and has not contacted me, please do so by Wednesday morning at the latest. I will put in the final order for awards Wednesday morning.

This will be the first Pistol FT match held in Canada. That only happens once! I hope to be hearing from some of you and look forward to seeing all who can make it on Saturday.

Tim, Chris and Dennis

The 600 would be fun on the sight in range and after the match. You certainly could use one a single shot at a time for the match if you choose to. After shooting each lane the guns should be cased unloaded, so you could just load the number of pellets needed for the lane.

I think you will see a real variety of pistols there and we'll all have a great time.

Do you know if you will be using open/unmagnified sights or a scope?

Tim

Crap! Crap and double Crap! I have to be at a wedding that day! I'll probably send my factory customized 2240 that I posted about here a little while ago, down with one of the regular FT guys for someone to shoot the match with if they want...I'll supply the pistol (with scope), pellets, CO2 and case...
Have fun guys!
