don't know if it works for BB's but carpet remnants in a box I made work great. The more the carpet gets hit the better it works. It is easy to retrieve the spent pellets for recycling!!

A stack of carpet remnants in a box will work great for BBs too .

can also get $$$ ballistic cloth, designed to stop rimfire rounds. not sure where, brother gave me a pretty big piece. Stops pellets no worries.
Picked up a beeman or crosman trap when I first started shooting , it was rated 1000 fps  looked like a pop can that got hit with # 6 bird shot from 10 ft after a few days. :D

Anyone try shooting BB's into one of these? https://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pageID=71&section=1187&section2=1279&section3=1455&ID=2749

It looks very convenient but it says lead pellets only :(

What about lead BB's? The description on Cabela's website says pellets only but, the one on PyramydAir for the same trap says it can also take "lead shot" which I presume to be the same thing as lead BB's.

Lead pellets & Round lead balls are OK to use with the Gamo Rocker Pellet Trap
https://www.cabelas.ca/index.cfm?pageID ... 55&ID=2751

Steel BBs are not safe to use with the Gamo Rocker Pellet Trap, they will ricochet like crazy .

I shoot a lot in my basement so I built a box out of 1/2" plywood and cut up an old couch cushion to stuff the inside with. Works great at stopping ricochets and helps dampen the sound. My basement is all ceramic tile flooring so there is no sound absorbtion and the first shot I took using the pellet trap it sounded like I was shooting one of my .22 rifles, the empty box amplified the sound that much more...

How about an old bbq lid from the dump, with the duct seal in the back, and plywood in front to staple targets?
You can also hang reactive targets from the top edge of the lid with spring clips.
