So now I'm thinking about shooting HFT thanks to BCGunner. More money  ...

Seriuosly, I have a Sniper-tuned QB78D in .22 that I'm thinking of using, but I'm going to need a scope. I've been looking at the HAWKE MAP PRO 4-16X50 and the HAWKE ECLIPSE 30 4-16X50 at D&L as possible candidates. http://www.dlairgun.com/Hawke-Scopes.html

Does anyone have experience with these or suggestions of alternatives in the same price range?

Thanks for your time.

I have heard some good things about these scopes from Crosman:

It might be an option with a little more range finding capability should you want to try your hand at FT, as opposed to Hunter.

Hehehe. Well, if I'm to blame then I guess I should tell you that I have a 4-12x40 Airmax on my Diana 54 and a 4-16x50 Ecplise ( just waiting for a 1 pce base ) for my .270 Savage. Can't go wrong IMO.
Sorry I have gotten you to thinking about FT

Between these two I would definitely pick the Eclipse for the 30mm tube and side focus. Even though you won't be range-finding with the scope in HFT, I personally prefer the side focus as its much easier to use while in shooting position (especially kneeling/standing)
