Oh, he's been around...just gave himself a new and improved name. Hey Jeff. Like your new ID. Looks like this sport has taken root. Glad to see that. Hope you are well.

So from that, am I correct in understanding that it was the club's executive that put the kibosh on FT activities all along, and not the CFO as we were led to believe?
Talk about the "enemy within".

That is absolutely wrong! As a long time member of ERGC and a former member of the executive I can assure you it was all driven by the CFO! The cost of modifying the field target ranges to comply with the CFO regulations was way beyond the means of the club. ERGC has long supported field target and would have loved to continue to do so but the range inspector has made it almost impossible. The club as a whole (I was at the meetings) thinks the CFO is out to lunch on this one as much as you guys.

For the GTA the aurora gun club has an outdoor 50m range(archery). The webSite says they allow air rifle and pistols. I am new to FT and airgun do not sure what's involved up get a new FT range. There is also Barrie gun club. I'd like to get I to FT if there was a place to shoot a little closer then port colburne. Right now me and a budd shot on his property by lake simcoe

CAFTA is in the process of getting standards created for FT ranges. If we are successful, it will open up the opportunity for ranges to shoot FT all across Canada. By mid May we should have information available. Tough to be patient, I know, but the pay off for it could very well be more than worth the wait.
