The 19th will be fine for me as well. I can offer a ride from Calgary if someone would like to carpool.

Hey Lewis

I'll be comin' from "down south" thru Calgary so I can pick you up. I'll have room for a few more also.

Dave

I've played ball at weekend warriors a few years back, nice field. I'd be interested in checking out a shoot there, I also picked up a couple gamo squirrel targets a couple weeks ago I could supply and a 12"x14" pellet trap. has anyone asked them about backstops? our pellets are likely to be a bit more destructive than paintballs.

March19 - 11:00 - meet at Boston Pizza
Do we want to do some shooting to or just check the place out
Any traps / backstops or any other related equipment - it will be up to us to ensure we have all we need

really looking forward to this kick-off.

should probably check it out, especially if we're intending to shoot indoors as we'll need to figure out what guns will be shot and the necessary backstops. I would think if we keep the power down, some plywood scraps propped into a basic trap shape with some 2x4's behind should suffice, it'll really depend on the weekend warrior folks and what they don't want to happen to their building. the south paintball field might make a good fair weather field, there's only the airplane hijack scenario there and I'm sure we could figure out a way to set up around the fuselage (if they haven't changed it)

Walter, the gamo traps look pretty good, I picked them up to give me an idea of the basic mechanism and the extra plates were dirt cheap too. $24 for six plates, a guy couldn't even fab for that and for $4 who'd wanna spend the time to cut them?

Mike and Pat [ weekend warriors owners ] will be relying on us to ensure the traps we bring will stop the shots.
If it is nice outside - we would go to the south of the indoor area and shoot there.
They will not want us down by the plane area [it is west of the building ] as there will be paintball shooters at the club too.
Agian - are we going to be shooting on March 19th.
What does everyone want to do ??
I need to know time wise too.
If we shoot - how many hours do we want.
Do we want the hole building or just 1/2 of the inside area.
We need to book inadvance , Let me know so I can get ahold of them and book us in.

Rocker it sounds like most are interested in some kind of shoot. Can you check on a price for 1/2 the building for 3 or 4 hours in the afternoon. It looks like there won't be more than 10 people total to split the cost. If we get this started I'm sure it will draw more people . If we keep it under 500 fps for indoor we should be able to stop every thing with 1/2 inch plywood with 2 ft by 2 ft panels. the distances shouldn't be to great and we should be able to stay with in a 2ft square easily. Most of the shots should be stoped by the targets.

I'm guessing it's gonna be like golf, a paintball game in close proximity isn't going to be quiet, so guys who have an issue with excess background noise should probably say so in advance. ultimately it'll probably come down to how many guys vs field rental. if it isn't big bucks and there's enough guys, I'd say get it all and keep it nice and recreational. :D

{edit} as an afterthought, liability wise I'm assuming they'll want eye protection worn at the minimum, I can grab a couple boxes of safety glasses from work in case someone shows up without, it won't cost me much, we sell them and have a good selection.

I will get prices [ firm ] from Mike
I will ask what he wants for saftey gear
We will be required to sign wavers releaseing them of all personal injurys and liable for any damage we cause .
If they feel we are not being safe , we will be requested to stop .
Mike and / or Pat will probably be with us - they have seen my rifle and I bet they will want to shoot a few shots with us.

I have book the site for March 19th starting at 12:00
12 till 3 = 150.00
12 till 4 = 200.00
We have the entire area to ourselfs
Do we want to shoot for 3 or 4 hours - what does the majority want.
Air is 5.00 per person for the day
Any and all equipment we require is to be supplied by us.
We need to ensure we can stop all pellets with our traps and backstops.
Safety glass are not required as we are not to be shooting at each other but do feel free to bring them - up to each person.
Any unsafe conduct and we will be required to stop shooting and packup.
We need the adaptor that paintball guns use to get air [ thats what I have and think thats what evryone uses ?? - still new to this ]
Pop on site 2.00 each - you can bring your own as well
BBQ - is there if we wish
How does this sound to everyone
Any questions / concerns ??

That is great. I think that is a very resonable price. I think 3 hours is enough for me but the younger guys will probably want more which is fine too.I will work on getting some backstop material for my targets.

I like where this is going. Lets get a firm count of the amount of people that plan on coming so someone doesn't get stuck an unexpected bill. If we stay out the the 22 power range we'll be okay with plywood.
