Hello to all

It has been a long haul, but after the inspection of the range at Port Colborne yesterday, we were granted a three day permit to host the CAFTA nationals at the Port club using guns up to 20 ft/lb of energy. So it will be a CAFTA rules match.

The match will be on the weekend of July 22nd through the 24th, with set-up and sight-in on the 22nd and the two days of the match on the 23rd and 24th. The match will consist of two courses of 10 lanes each, with three targets in each lane. That will give us 60 shots per day, with a total of 120 over the Saturday and Sunday. Registration will be capped at 60 shooters.

We will have Hunter Adult and Junior, Open PCP and Piston as well as WFTF PCP and Piston. The junior age is 16 and under. Award/s will be awarded in CAFTA classes that have at least two competitors.

There will be camping allowed at the club on the grounds or in the clubhouse.

Once you are sure that you will or will not be able to attend, please let me know as soon as possible with information on the class you will enter and if you will be camping at the club. I will email out a complete information package later, that will include information on fees, accommodations, one day options, meals, etc. I have 14 confirmed to attend already today and will be sending out match particulars to them very soon.

If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

CAFTA FT lives! Talk to you later.

I booked a room this year too Pumpmaster, that is, after I found out I would actually be able to make it. It will beat the tent all to heck this weekend what with the A/C & the POOL !
Sunday evening I took care of a little surface rust again on the Ol' QB & went out back to see where she was hitting. Within a few shots I could tell she was close to the zone as I ALMOST finished chewing through the middle of a mini V8 juice can at 25 yards downslope. I will need to use the sight-in range on Sat. to be sure, but these pics tell the story better than I can.

P.S. Your gun looks SWEEEEEEEEET, & I like your use of pegboard too.
P.P.S. I'm wondering who else will make it, and I can't say for sure, but I put the bug in E.W.'s ear this past week & just maybe we'll see him there. He's temporarily web-less at the moment so can't post. I hope to see a lot of folks out for a great match this weekend.

See Y'all there, & "cheers" :D

Glad to hear you can make it PK!
With gas prices the way they are booking a room was a no brainer for me this year.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the Solo shoots, I haven't shot it at all other than through the chrony.
See ya there!

The Reeb House is about 3-5 minutes from the Club and it is always jumping on Friday and Saturday night. I was thinking of going there for supper after the set-up on Saturday night. Air conditioning and good food.

Minor's Fishery is a great place, but outdoors is going to be HOT!.
